Researchers of the paranormal from the English city of Chelmsford in Essex claim that they managed to "catch" the ghost of Isabella of France, who was the daughter of King Philip the Fair of France and the wife of King Edward II of England, who reigned on the throne from 1307 to 1327. In addition, her famous wolf pet is captured in a mysterious photo.

The photo was taken by four specialists a few days ago during a night visit to the medieval castle Castle Rising in the village of the same name in the northwest of Norfolk County. The building was erected at the end of the twelfth century and for thirty years served as the residence of the royal couple. The experts arrived at the castle late in the evening and, armed with cameras, took pictures of the premises until dawn.

The leader of the group Andy Blisdale says that at about two o'clock in the morning he heard a strange rustle on the stairs, as if a man in long clothes was slowly climbing up it, and a quiet clatter of claws. As the sounds came close, the ghost hunter took his camera and took a picture. It captured two of Bleasdale's colleagues and, unexpectedly, something truly amazing - a translucent human figure, like a woman in a dress.

At the same time, at the feet of a guest from the other world, another phantom is visible, resembling a large animal from the canid family. When the British looked at the image, they immediately realized that the ghosts of Isabella of France and her unnamed loyal pet appeared on it, because of which, by the way, the Queen was called the French Wolf. However, some historians are convinced that the ruler received such a nickname because of her cruelty to the courtiers and her own husband.

The ghosts materialized in the so-called White Room on the upper floor of the castle, where Isabella loved to rest in her time. To capture the paranormal, Andy used a special full-spectrum camera that captures ultraviolet rays and is capable of taking very high-quality photos in night mode. The researchers themselves did not see anything unusual that night, but the head of the team, as mentioned above, heard the approach of an invisible lady and her faithful pet.

Isabella of France is often seen in the castle. Most often, it appears to tourists in the form of a translucent whitish figure slowly moving along the corridors and rooms of the building. At night you can hear a wolf howl - they say that these sounds are made by the beloved pet of the late queen. Castle Rising is one of Britain's most popular haunted landmarks. In any local guidebook, the phantoms of Isabella and her wolf are always mentioned at least in passing.
