Pokrovka is a village in the north-west of Moscow, where UFO flights and hovering are relatively often observed. Local residents often note here amazing atmospheric phenomena, local torrential rains, black clouds hanging over one place, strong tornadoes, etc.

In a local pond, fishermen once saw a large water funnel suddenly appeared, measuring the water level and investigating this case showed that most likely there was a spontaneous discharge of water into underground voids. Around the same time, local boys saw bicycles flying along the railroad tracks in the sky (perhaps raised by a tornado?).

They say that during walks in the woods to the left of the road in the direction of travel from Moscow, mushroom pickers more than once felt sudden attacks of terror, the cause of which remained incomprehensible to them. In the same forest there are so-called "prodigal places" where even old-timers can easily get lost, and "scary places" where dogs whine and cannot stay for a long time.

In August 1993, an expedition was carried out in the southern part of this forest, the purpose of which was to search for the area of flight of a three-star UFO observed here by a local resident in February 1993. Indeed, a place was found where an unknown object was hovering, breaking the tops of trees in the forest at a height of about 5 m above the ground.

It was found that the tops were broken off not because of a side wind, but because of the force applied vertically (!) From above. Traces of mechanical impact were clearly visible on the fallen parts of the trunks, but no traces of paint, rust or any material were found on the scuffs of the trees.

It was not possible to find any other oddities and anomalies, dozens of photographs of the area were taken, and later, in one of the photos, engineer Andrey Sidnev discovered a dark object of irregular triangular shape.

Report on the trip to the Pokrovskaya anomalous zone from the article "Komsomolskaya Pravda" from 2005

An hour later, there was oil in the engine. We moved further into the depths of the zone. In the village of Moshnitsy, we picked up a native resident of Sidor Timofeevich.

“I’ve been scared since childhood,” admits Sidor, “I walk a different path to the village through the forest. My grandfather taught me this. You can't teach THEM to use one route. They will be on guard.

We exchange glances.

- What does THEM mean, - we joke, - you, in fact, about whom, about foresters?

- THEM, THEM. - Sidor pokes a smoked finger at the roof of the car. - You walk carefully in the forest, otherwise they will become attached - you will bring them to the house. What the hell are these tenants for? To ward them off, find a juniper in the forest. Hang its twig over the threshold of the house - this is how the ancient Slavs drove away evil spirits.

We walked into the forest along a trodden path. Almost no one uses it, according to the legends of a village aborigine. There is nowhere to walk on it. We crossed the spruce forest and ended up in the "devil's grove" - on a kilometer-long clearing with dead trees. There was a ringing in my ears, mobile communication disappeared.

A shadow moved behind us, running from tree to tree. Of course, you understand intellectually that even a child will not hide behind such Christmas-tree sticks, but as soon as you glance, a shadow flashed nearby. I never took the camera …

We turned back. IT followed us on our heels, gradually lagging behind, until it completely disappeared in the twilight. And the last surprise awaited us at the car. The path was littered with freshly plucked juniper twigs. On the bumper, apparently, to be sure, there was another one. Where they came from, one could only guess.
