And although this highway in the American state of New Mexico, which leads to the picturesque mountain range of San Mateo, is called the road to "nowhere", it would be more accurate to say that this is the path to the "unknown." Most likely, on this fifteen-kilometer stretch there is a portal to a parallel world, where people "fall through" together with cars. After all, there are a lot of such mysterious places on Earth, and almost all of them "behave" very similarly …

So, along the mysterious American highway, tourists go to admire the beautiful view of the mountain range and … do not return. And there is nowhere to go, since the track is dead-end and you can only return along it. Locals themselves do not travel, and, if possible, dissuade risky travelers from such a trip, but many people do not believe in all this devilry, and then only a few disappear, the rest return, and therefore the layman hopes that this cup will certainly will pass.

By the way, at the very turn to the mystical section of the route there is a small cafe where tourists have a snack before a dangerous journey. So the workers of this diner say that relatives and friends of travelers who have disappeared here often come to them. Only how can cooks and waitresses help them, unless they advise themselves not to recover on the road to the "unknown", which "swallows" people and never returns anyone. This is its special uniqueness and at the same time special ominousness.

… Once a family from Chicago dropped in for a bite to eat: the spouses Thomas and Millie Lowdrook, their daughter Lizy and their son Joe. While her husband was reading the newspaper over a cup of coffee, his wife and her children decided to ride along a dangerous track: no one had time to warn her. And although, as Thomas later argued, Millie promised to return soon, no one else saw her, her children, or the car. The police eventually closed the case, as did many others - very similar ones. As the patrolman Robert Kelly says, there is nowhere to turn, so it is very easy to find a missing car: it either broke down on the highway, for example, or it is no longer there at all. And although the terrain here is quiet, not portending any danger, people, along with cars, simply dissolve in the air - you cannot say otherwise.

Many tried to unravel the mystery of this road into the "unknown": scientists, detectives, psychics, but all attempts to open the veil were in vain, well at least among the researchers themselves were not missing. At least there is no official data on this …
