Cyclone Debbie caused unrest on Australia's northeast coast, literally sweeping and bending power lines in gusty winds and rains, flooding and throwing the shark out of the ocean.

For residents of northern Queensland, the cyclone presented the most unusual surprise: with streams of water on a country road in the suburb of Ayr, in the Burdekin region, a blunt shark carried out. Local journalist Philip Calder told about the discovery of an aggressive predator in an unusual habitat for him.

He posted on Twitter a photo of the shark with the caption "the only victim of the flood in Burdekin."

Blunt sharks are quite common in coastal waters and are tolerant of water salinity, so they sometimes swim into river mouths. Probably, the victim of the flood did not have time to figure out what awaited her when she was caught by the current and carried in the opposite direction from the ocean.

Unfortunately, the sea predator died, it was not possible to reanimate it, Science Alert reports.

Cyclone "Debbie" was so powerful that it twisted several power transmission towers, and authorities are still continuing to evacuate coastal residents. There is also good news - deaths among people have been avoided for the entire time that the elements have been raging. It's a shame the only shark was so unlucky.
