Our story about a mysterious force that is supposedly capable of lifting people and objects into the air, we begin with a story that recently happened in the Polish town of Hozkowice. There, according to the newspaper "Zhiche Varshavy", dozens of people witnessed an incredible incident when the local fortune-teller Marysia Lozinskaya, who knows how to fly into the sky … It took place on a Sunday day in a crowded fairground. Marysia sat at the table and as usual laid out the cards. There were several "clients" nearby who wanted to find out their fate from the fortuneteller. One of them (Anneli Vozgolskaya) describes further events as follows:

- Pani Marysya suddenly complained of a severe headache and said that she had to interrupt the fortune-telling. She really didn't look good: her face turned pale and even took on a greenish tint. The fortune-teller even exclaimed: "How painful!" - and at the same moment began to slowly rise above the ground. At the same time, her body remained completely motionless.

Friendly "ah!" swept over the fair. Everyone around them looked in amazement at the woman, who was hanging in the air in an unknown way at a height of about three meters. This lasted two minutes. Then Mrs. Marysya began to slowly decline. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she immediately fell on her face. And here is what the doctor A. Dobzhinsky, who was the first to examine the insensible Marysya Lozinskaya, told reporters:

Her eyes were closed. The pulse was palpable, albeit very weakly. Gradually, a blush appeared on her cheeks. The woman asked, "Why am I lying here?" It turned out that she did not remember anything …

- It should be said that from the point of view of researchers of the so-called anomalous phenomena, collecting such facts in their archives, the case of Marysia Lozinskaya is far from the most outstanding. According to historical sources, many religious figures rose into the air during prayer ecstasy. Among our domestic "Levitants" one can name Seraphim of Sarov, Archbishop of Novgorod and Pskov John … And the number of witches who were burned at the stake for the same thing during the Inquisition is beyond counting. The problem is different: can such stories be believed?

Until recently, when the words "levitation" and "antigravity" were mentioned, scientists exclaimed in unison: "Bullshit!" Today, such unanimity is no longer observed. The confusion in academic minds was introduced by the Russian physicist Evgeny Podkletnov, who now works at the Technological University of the Finnish city of Tampere.

A special disk was cooled by the researcher to a temperature of -167 degrees Celsius and placed in an electromagnetic field that made it rotate. Upon reaching 3 thousand revolutions per minute, objects placed above the rotating disc began to lose weight.

Podkletnov's report, published in scientific journals, worked like a kind of detonator. One after another, reports of specialists about the anti-gravitational effects observed by them fell down. Interesting results were obtained by John Schnurer of Antioch College (Ohio). Accurate measurements have shown that a zone appears above the superconducting system where objects lose up to 5 percent of their weight. According to Schnurer, this is a real step towards the creation of anti-gravity installations.

Even more startling experiments were carried out by Dutch scientists. They managed to hang a living frog in the air. The amphibian was placed over a superconducting coil. A powerful field acted directly on the cells of the body, creating in them a magnetic moment opposite to the magnetic field of the Earth. Thus, forces were created to neutralize gravity.

Dr. Andre Gein and his colleagues from the University in the city of Nanneli are confident that soon with the help of their equipment they will be able to lift any object, including a person, into the air. At least immediately after the frog experiment, these scientists successfully suspended a sandwich from their breakfast in the air …

The Dutch brazenly claim that their frog is the first living being that rose into the air without the conversion of mechanical energy (that is, without a jump, throw, wings, propeller, jet stream or blast wave), but in another way, called "molecular magnetism". But is it? In the light of Dr. Hein's successful experiments, church stories about levitating saints and witches look quite different.

And now, when asked about levitation, former skeptics are forced to shrug their shoulders instead of answering. After the “flying Dutch sandwich,” it would be foolish to deny the possibility of such a phenomenon. This means that special studies are needed to confirm (or refute) the legends that a person without any equipment (willingly or unwillingly) is able to change the work of his body cells so much that they begin to repel from the planet's magnetic field …

And such studies are already underway. One of the most serious organizations interested in the practical possibilities of such effects is the American George Marshall Space Flight Center (USA).

Similar studies are underway in Russia. The information bank of commissions "Phenomenon", which collects the most incredible ideas, discoveries and technologies, received a video cassette showing a spinning top hanging freely about ten centimeters from the stand. In this case, the effect is achieved without the use of superconducting systems and generally without the supply of any energy. According to the authors of the "flying top", given the necessary materials, they can make such a device of almost any size. The Phenomenon experts are now carefully studying this curious work.
