Oleg Arkhipov, researcher of the death of Dyatlov's tourist group, presented an archival document that may testify to the falsification of the investigation in this case.

During the annual conference in Yekaterinburg, Arkhipov announced the existence of a note, which Vasily Tempalov, the prosecutor of the city of Ivdel, who initiated the case, left to investigator Vladimir Korotaev. The document was handed over to the researcher by the widow of Korotaev.

The note says that Tempalov was summoned to Sverdlovsk "to report to the Deputy Prosecutor of the RSFSR in the criminal case on the death of tourists." At the same time, it is dated February 15, 1959 - 12 days before the official date of the discovery of the bodies. It turns out that the prosecutor's office already knew about the death of the group.

As Arkhipov told RIA Novosti, he got acquainted with the document back in 2016, but was in no hurry to present it to the public.

“I understood that you need to have reinforced concrete proof of authenticity,” says the agency's source.

Over the years, Arkhipov has carried out a handwriting and scientific and technical examination of the note.

In his opinion, the date stated in the document cannot be a simple mistake by Tempalov. In one place of the note, the date February 15 is crossed out, and February 16 is put down instead.

“Anyone can make a mistake in the date. But being wrong in several places? And even to cross it out and then put the wrong date again - this is already out of the realm of fantasy,”Arkhipov stressed.

At the same time, the Sverdlovsk prosecutor's office insists that the prosecutor was still mistaken in the date.

Promotional video:

“Citizen Reeb is mentioned in the letter, and he was supposedly sentenced on February 16. But we found a certificate of verification by the prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region of the prosecutor's office of Ivdel. It states that the Reeb case was sent to court on April 2, 1959. And the verdict was passed on April 16,”said Andrey Kuryakov, head of the Department for Supervision over the Execution of Federal Legislation of the Prosecutor's Office of the Sverdlovsk Region.

According to an expert psychologist, such a mistake may be due to the fact that while writing the document, Tempalov was thinking about the February events, and therefore put this month in the note.

A tourist group led by Igor Dyatlov died at the pass in the Northern Urals in the winter of 1959 under circumstances that have not yet been clarified. The number of put forward versions of the death of tourists has exceeded a hundred - from an accident to paranormal phenomena and tests of military equipment.

On the eve, the prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region reported that its employees will go to the Northern Urals to conduct a series of new examinations and try to find out the cause of the death of the tourist group.
