In the Peruvian province of Ayacucho are the ruins of the ancient pre-Incan civilization of the Wari (Huari), which existed in 500 AD. e. - 1000 AD e. The Vary stone ruins themselves are not very impressive, but there is something very interesting here.
Among the buildings you can see stone blocks of unusual shape lying on the ground here and there, made as if using the stamping technique. Moreover, they were definitely not used for building walls, they are not in any of the surviving walls. What were they for?
Some stone blocks have a hole drilled with some kind of tool and these holes are equal for all such blocks. Moreover, the Vary civilization did not know the wheel and did not even have a written language. In addition to blocks with a hole, there are blocks in the shape of the letter "U" and blocks like "U", but elongated.
They all look very similar to the details of a children's designer, which can be assembled into something interesting. To know only what it was supposed to put together this pre-Incan "Lego".

According to one version, they were intended for aqueducts, but this is only a hypothesis, which has no confirmation. There are no surviving aqueducts from such blocks either.
