Giants are usually perceived by us as characters in children's fairy tales. Science, it would seem, did not leave the modern adult educated person the opportunity to believe in the reality of something like that. But is it fair?
Adam's footprint?
In Sri Lanka, on the island of Ceylon, there is a cone-shaped mountain 2240 meters high, which is revered by adherents of all four world religions. The reason for this veneration is the imprint of a human foot in the rock at the very top. According to legend, this mountain is located next to paradise. Mount Adam - this is the name of the peak - in the dry season, thousands of pilgrims climb every year: Buddhists, Hindus, Christians and Muslims. Since climbing under the scorching rays of the sun is too difficult, the pilgrimage is made at night. The shortest route involves overcoming 5,000 steep steps.

There are similar traces in other regions of the world. So, at the beginning of the 20th century in South Africa, the farmer Stoffel Ketzi found a giant left footprint. It was imprinted into one of the rocks to a depth of 12 centimeters and was 1.28 meters long. This imprint is hundreds of millions of years old.
More than once, archaeologists have found huge tools. In the state of Ohio, USA, a copper ax weighing 30 kilograms was found.
In the 1960s, during excavations in Siberia, Soviet archaeologists became owners of an equally intriguing find: a dinosaur bone with a huge arrowhead sticking out of it. One of the Internet sites claims that paleontologist and science fiction writer Ivan Efremov in the Gobi Desert, next to the skeletons of dinosaurs, found the bones of a humanoid creature and several high-tech metal objects. It is curious that in some of the bones of the dinosaurs, they clearly found bullet holes. More recently, in the region of Sarawak, in Malaysia, where legends of giants have long existed, huge wooden blocks from 2.5 to 9.0 meters in length were found in the forest. Maybe they were the instruments of the giant people?
Giants from Nevada
Not only archaeologists, but also random people have found the skeletons of giants. In 1877, in a desolate, hilly area near the town of Evreki, Nevada, prospectors worked at the gold mine. And then one of the workers accidentally noticed the bones of a human foot and lower leg that had grown into the rock and blackened from time to time. The prospectors freed them from the breed with pickaxes, and later brought them to Evreku. Paleontologists, in whose hands the find fell, found that the length of the bones from the knee to the foot was … 97 centimeters. The owner of such a limb should have been 3 meters 60 centimeters tall! An even bigger mystery is the age of the quartzite in which the bone was found, -185 million years.
In the same Nevada, the Payute Indians have a legend that red-haired giants lived on their lands long ago. And they were very cruel. Many years ago, the warriors of the Payute tribe expelled these giants, and they lived for a long time in Lovelock Cave. This cave, located 35 kilometers from the city of the same name, is famous for the fact that it is home to many bats. In 1911, guano miners dug up the mummified remains of mysterious red-haired people 2.5 meters or more in height.
Secrets of the Black Continent
Similar finds have been made on other continents. In 1890, in Egypt, archaeologists discovered a stone sarcophagus with an earthen coffin inside, in which a two-meter mummy of a red-haired woman with a baby rested. The facial features and build of the mummy differed sharply from the ancient Egyptians, but in many respects they looked like the giants from Lovelock Cave.
In 1936, German paleontologist and anthropologist Larson Kohl found the skeletons of giant humans on the shores of Lake Elysee in Central Africa. 12 men were buried in a mass grave. Their height reached 375 centimeters. It is curious that the skulls of the deceased had slanted chins and two rows of upper and lower teeth.
In South Africa, at a diamond mine in 1950, workers discovered a fragment of a huge skull 45 centimeters high. Above the brow ridges were two strange protrusions that looked like small horns. Anthropologists, in whose hands the mysterious find fell, determined its age: almost nine million years!
Already in 1999, the remains of a tall, upright creature that lived four million years ago were found on the western shore of Lake Turkan, Kenya.
This riddle can be solved
Fast forward to Asia. In the late 1950s, in the course of road construction in southeastern Turkey in the Euphrates valley, several burials with gigantic human remains were uncovered. In two, femurs were found about 120 centimeters long. Joe Taylor, director of the Texas State Museum of Fossils, USA, which bought these bones, carried out the reconstruction of their owner in accordance with all scientific rules. It turned out that he had to have a height of about five meters and a foot length of almost half a meter. The hands of such a giant would be 1.8 meters from the ground.
Earlier, in 1935, Dutch archaeologist Ralph von Königswald discovered fossil human teeth in Hong Kong, each one five times larger than that of modern humans. The approximate weight of their owner was supposed to be at least 500 kilograms, height - five meters.
Traces of giant people have survived in Europe as well. At the end of the 19th century in Ireland, in County Astrim, a mummy of a person with a height of 3.7 meters was found. It is noteworthy that the giant had six fingers on each limb. This mummy has been shown at exhibitions in Dublin, Liverpool and Manchester. Later, her traces were lost.
A four-meter human skeleton was found in the summer of 2000 by two amateur archaeologists in Georgia near the village of Udabno.
The remains of giants were also found in Australia and supposedly even in Antarctica. It turns out that there are traces of them in almost all parts of the world. Therefore, we can well say that if we consider such evidence separately, then they will remain insoluble riddles and miracles, but if we collect all the information together, then it is worth studying them and looking for ways to scientific conclusions and generalizations.
