One of the strangest ancient structures in Egypt is located near the city of Sakkara. This is a huge necropolis, over which the stepped pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser rises. An ominous mystery is hidden under this plateau. SerApeum is a giant underground burial vault. But it was not built for people. Archaeologists believe that the sacred sacrificial bulls of the Apis were buried here, in which the god Pta was allegedly embodied. In the necropolis, there are two dozen empty granite sarcophagi. But they are too big for humans and even bulls.
Who was buried there? And where are their bodies now?..
Researchers Christopher Dunn, Graham Hancock and Robert Bauvel set out to investigate the mystery of the Serapeum. All of them have been searching for and finding traces of high technologies in ancient monuments for more than a dozen years.
They hoped to see something similar in the Serapeum. And they were not mistaken.
Sarcophagi, or granite boxes, are almost four meters long and high, and about three meters wide. They stand in the center of the crypts, which are one and a half meters below the floor of the tunnel. The naked eye can see that the entrance, only to deliver to the place, but generally to make!
