Boston Mills, and unofficially, Hell City is a long-abandoned town in the United States. Helltown is slowly disappearing into the depths of Summit County, Ohio. There are still houses here, which are slowly being destroyed by nature. The city was founded in 1807 and has long been a thriving American town.

Life in the city changed in 1962 when the state authorities decided to establish a national park on the site of the city. Residents, one by one, began to leave the city. The wealthiest tried to sue the authorities, but without achieving anything, they also left Boston Mills. By the end of the sixties, the city was completely empty. The project with the national park failed, the city was rapidly overgrown with grass, bushes and trees, and houses were falling apart.

Scary Legends

It's hard to say where the legends of the paranormal in the abandoned remains of Boston Mills came from, and who named the place Hell's City. Perhaps it all started after various religious communities, mainly Satanists, began to stop here often. Later, there were terrible stories about the bodies of dismembered animals found on the streets of the city. It was rumored that animals were sacrificed during rituals. Over time, more terrible finds appeared - human remains. And the fact that this is not fiction is evidenced by the fact that already in the eighties the state authorities banned entry into the city. Prohibitory signs are still in use.

The Legend of the School Bus

The first creepy story involves a children's bus. It still stands and slowly rusts on the outskirts of Helltown. In 1981, a school bus was taking a group of children to a ski resort. The driver who miraculously survived says:

“It was evening, I was driving along the track and driving a group of high school students who were going to the ski resort. Suddenly, an elderly woman appeared in front of the bus and began to wave her arms to make the bus stop. When I pulled up, she began to cry with tears that there was a wounded grandson in her house and he needed urgent help. I decided to help and turned towards Boston Mills. I didn't know that no one lives in this city.

When the bus pulled up to the outskirts of the city, it was surrounded by young people - clearly Satanists. They had axes and sticks in their hands, and they began to smash the bus with particular cruelty. I probably did the wrong thing, but managed to escape, leaving two dozen schoolchildren at the mercy of non-humans. However, I would not have been able to save anyone, and if I had stayed, they would have killed me too. But the police are hiding this story."

Stalkers say that children screams near the bus at night. Many saw the ghosts of the murdered children.

Other legends

Another series of "horror stories" is associated with an abandoned slaughterhouse, from which only the foundation remained. They said that at the slaughterhouse, the maniac butchered his victims, and threw the remains into the forest.

There are also stories about the fact that in the late seventies, in the vicinity of Helltown, a truck with toxic substances overturned, which caused a mutation in the local fauna. Stalkers say they have seen a fifteen-meter mutant python more than once in the vicinity of the city. True, the snake is slow and does not attack anyone.

Another bike is connected with the church of the city, which is well preserved, as if someone is looking after it. Visitors to the city say that lights are on in the windows of the church at night. Of course, no one dared to enter the church. Not far from the church is the old Boston Mills Cemetery. Stalecras, sometimes there they notice strange silhouettes walking among the overgrown graves.

This place is regularly visited by various ghost hunters and just fans to tickle their nerves. But many thrill-seekers do not return from Helltown, as if the city does not let go and the person disappears without a trace. Of course, people love to come up with stories about abandoned places, but there is one "but". Why are there no horror stories about the paranormal about some abandoned cities (remember at least Chernobyl), while there are too many other legends about these? This means that there is still some truth in all this.
