Abul Bajandra, also known by the nickname "wooden man", is a Bangladeshi resident who has an unusual ailment. His hands are entirely made up of huge warts and more like curled tree branches. Today Bazhandra underwent the first surgery. Doctors help him, free of charge, to get rid of the disease.
The man, as we found out, has been suffering from a rare disease for 25 years. For many years he tried to save money in order to carry out an expensive operation, however, due to the severity of his condition, he lost the job that he could do. Over the past couple of years, due to growths, he simply does not succeed in even basic household things: his wife and children brush his teeth, feed him, hold small objects.
Surgeons working in Dhaka learned the story of Bazhandra, after which they volunteered to operate on him free of charge, only if the "roots" of the growths did not touch other tissues of the body except the epidermis. The condition of the man is currently unknown, however, the doctors claimed that the operation will take place in several stages.
