There is not a single culture in the world that does not tell about such mythical creatures as vampires. And today, if a person hears this word, then his brain immediately draws a terrible, bloodthirsty monster with incredible speed. In addition, we can remember that these creatures are afraid of sunlight, the cross, holy water and garlic. But fortunately or unfortunately, there is no specific information confirming the existence of vampires in our time. However, science proves the existence of other vampires, completely unlike representatives of their kind, known to us from movies and books.

There are thousands of people in the world who convince themselves and their surroundings that they are real vampires. They have a rather peculiar way of life and behavior, like the heroes of science fiction novels. Moreover, some even prefer to drink blood. For example, sometimes on the Internet you can read ads about the search for donated blood. However, this blood is not at all intended to save a person's life. Some individuals who call themselves vampires are looking for volunteer donors to use their blood for their own purposes, although most make do with animal blood.

At the same time, the Internet is replete with stories and stories about cases when a vampire can attack a person and suck his blood. So, in early 2002, a similar case was registered in Colombia. Dressed in long black cloaks, "vampires", approaching a person and threatening him with cruel reprisals, made a small incision on the neck, and then sucked out a small amount of blood. However, who these people were remains a mystery, because the police officers who arrived at the scene of the incident could not find even the slightest trace of the "bloodsuckers".

Every year, new people appear around the world claiming their involvement in vampires. But science, as always, does not agree with the version of their existence, and all available cases of vampirism are referred to as a mental disorder, also called "Porphyria's disease." This disease makes a person consume the blood of living beings. Interestingly, in the USA there is even a scientific center for the study of vampires and their behavior, with a list of all the addresses and names of modern representatives of this genus from around the world.

The question arises: do vampires exist in our time?

Perhaps yes! However, they do not look like characters from the films "Van Helsing" or "The Vampire Diaries". These artistic heroes are just fiction. But one way or another, people who drink the blood of humans or animals still exist - these are serial maniacs who kill their victims not for fun, but to enjoy the sweetish taste of human blood.

Psychic addiction of monsters

At the beginning of the twentieth century, the famous maniac Peter Kürten was arrested in Germany, later named the "Dusseldorf vampire". On his account there were 10 brutal murders. This "monster" could satisfy his sexual needs only at the sight of fresh blood from his victims. And after the murder, he tore the neck of the corpse with his teeth and sucked out the blood. "Vampire" was sentenced to the death penalty. On July 2, 1932, the sentence was carried out.

Another maniac was Richard Trenton Chase of the United States, who killed six people and drank their blood. The police report indicated that since childhood he suffered from mental disorders and several times spent a long time in mental hospitals. When he was 27 years old, the guy was released from the clinic, being declared completely healthy. Just three months later, Trenton killed the first man and drank his blood. The man was also sentenced to death, but he did not live to see the sentence. He was found dead in his cell.

However, the most sophisticated vampire maniac was considered Albert Fish, who received the nickname "Brooklyn Vampire". This "monster" chose only young children as its victims. On account of his 15 ruined children's lives. But the strangest thing was that the psychiatric examination found this person to be quite sane. At the trial, the "vampire" behaved cheekily and claimed that he did not regret at all about what he had done. Fish was found guilty and sentenced to death in the electric chair. On January 16, 1936, the sentence was carried out.

Vampires or Sanguinars

Sanguinars are those people who need blood for normal existence, because without it they get sick and weaken. In fact, such people claim that their calling is to be a vampire. They are deficient in blood, but they are not at all bloodthirsty, and do not pose a danger to others. For sanguine people a few drops of blood are enough. Almost all of them use animal blood, which can be purchased at a slaughterhouse or from entrepreneurs engaged in the slaughter of large and small livestock. Less common are sanguine people who use human blood, but it is taken only from donors. And if we talk about the supernatural abilities of sanguinarians, then they simply do not exist, just like immortality.

The mystical mystery that surrounds vampires only fuels interest in their existence. In this regard, there was even a new cult called "vampirism." Therefore, the belief in vampires is stronger than it ever was. Today it makes no sense to deny the existence of vampires, but you need to correctly determine who exactly is meant by this concept.

The cruel human society has always hated and feared vampires. In history, there are cases of destruction not only of sorcerers, werewolves, witches, but also vampires. And to fight them, people created entire organizations. However, these creatures over time became much smarter and smarter, improving the skills of reincarnation and disguise as an ordinary person. Today it is difficult to determine what a vampire looks like, because the human appearance is only a shell for a creature that is alien to our human world. And no matter how scientists or doctors explain the phenomenon of "vampirism" - the mystery remains a mystery.
