American scientists discovered a black hole that was choking due to an exploding star. This object was spotted by the flashes that accompanied her attempts to swallow the debris.

The black hole is located 400 million light years from Earth. It was possible to detect it with the help of special innovative devices. The unusual process that caught the attention of scientists was caused by a star getting too close to a space object. Under the influence of tidal forces, it was torn into small fragments, they approached the black hole and collided with each other, producing flares that attracted scientists. From the outside it looked as if the object could not swallow the star and was gagging.

It is reported that researchers have been observing this black hole for three years. The first outbreak they saw occurred in 2014, and since then they have regularly pointed telescopes in its direction to observe the processes taking place there.

Scientists said that observing destruction by tidal forces is perhaps the only way to detect a black hole. At the same time, the absorption of large objects that could be seen with telescopes occurs once every 10-100 thousand years, so each of such cases is a unique opportunity to learn more about black holes.
