Observing the development of modern self-learning systems based on artificial intelligence, you involuntarily come to the conclusion that sooner or later robots will still be able to replace humans in some positions. However, according to the statement of domestic scientists, this can happen much earlier than we think.

According to Sergei Garbuk, Deputy General Director and Head of Information Research at the Advanced Research Foundation, the scenario in which artificial intelligence systems will be able to replace humans will begin to be implemented within the next 10-15 years. We are talking specifically about the position of a data controller and similar positions. As Sergei said in an interview with RIA-Novosti, “Solving the problems of creating applied artificial intelligence, we are talking primarily about replacing a human operator with a technical system, which provides information processing using his natural abilities, formed in the process of evolution and continuing to develop throughout his life.”

The expert also noted that much depends on the nature of the tasks set. For example, today there may be systems that are not inferior to humans in many respects. AI already perfectly recognizes faces, spoken language, volumetric images and so on.

“Today, the human brain has clear advantages over artificial intelligence. Even before learning, a person possesses abilities that were formed evolutionarily and received by inheritance. This intellectual experience enables a person to learn faster, but soon the artificial intelligence will catch up with us in this."
