About a quarter of a century ago, the cameras of the NASA STS-48 spacecraft filmed a video showing several unidentified flying objects. However, until now, this entry, which so puzzled scientists, has not received an official explanation.
The video was filmed in 1991, when the space agency shuttle made a flight over the upper atmosphere. The device was sent into orbit of our planet, where it recorded mysterious objects. According to Arjun Valiy, a space explorer, there are about a dozen objects that can be observed on the recording, which move in a rather peculiar manner. The expert also noted the interesting maneuvers that space bodies perform at high speed.
The specialist also draws attention to the fact that the video of luminous objects is available for viewing all over the world, but no scientific explanation for this phenomenon has been given.
It should be noted that back in the 90s, scientists put forward several theories of the origin of mysterious objects. Some talked about spatio-temporal tunnels to another Universe, others mentioned ice particles moving in outer space. For example, a physics professor at the University of Nebraska Jack Kasher insisted on the version of "wormholes".
In his opinion, the reason for the glow of objects is the release of a large amount of energy when an object penetrates through wormholes or deformation of space.
As for the present time, the theoretical physicist Mark J. Carlotto in his article called the mysterious objects one of the most unusual phenomena that have been observed to date. He was especially interested in the disc-shaped form of UFOs, their unusual movements. But according to his version, the video captures only atmospheric phenomena occurring on Earth.
Another specialist, journalist and historian James Oberg believes that the video captures the space shuttle's journey through a group of ice particles. However, his version was rejected by the scientific community due to the fact that incomprehensible objects have high speeds and move at a great distance from NASA STS-48.
Currently, scientists are of the opinion that the mysterious phenomenon filmed by the shuttle in 1991 does not have an accurate scientific explanation. Although one of the most common versions of the UFO phenomenon is still "extraterrestrial intelligence".
