Australian housewife Debbie Higgs, walking on Monday morning on Mudjimba Beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, found an unusual red creature in the sand.

No matter how much she looked at him, the woman was never able to identify the creature, comparing it with the sea animals she knew. The creature had no limbs, eyes or mouth. There was only a smooth red body with "fringe" along the edges.

“It's definitely not a plant, but it feels like a sponge or jellyfish to the touch. And it is slippery and very smelly, - Debbie told reporters, - I have no idea what it is. I posted the pictures on my twitter and a lot of people immediately started reposting and wondering what it could be.

At first, the woman left the creature where she photographed, but when interest in the creation increased due to the pictures on Twitter, she returned and took it with her. The woman brought the creature home on a rag and put it in a bucket of sea water. According to her, the creature is about 25 centimeters long.

Some people have suggested that it might be a so-called Spanish dancer (Hexabranchus sanguineus). The largest of the nudibranchs, reaching half a meter in length. It lives in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. There were also more original users who believed that this could be part of the insides of a whale.

A spokesman for the Queensland Museum, reviewing the pictures, could not accurately name the creature, but agreed that it looked like a sea clam.
