Some called this man a sorcerer from Glen, others called a Brahan Seer. His real name is Kenneth Mackenzie - a visionary who looked into the future through a hole in a white stone.

He predicted many bloody battles and political events in the history of Scotland. But he became famous for his prophecy to the Seaforth family.
This story began in 1660, when the Scottish Earl of Seaforth traveled to Paris. At home in the castle Brahan, he left his wife Isabella, ugly to ugliness, evil and cruel. Time passed. The day came when the count promised to return.
But he didn’t come. And Isabella began to suffer from jealousy. She called the seer to her and asked him about her husband. Mackenzie put a white stone to his eye, peered through the hole and laughed. He saw the count with a beautiful girl on his knees.
In a rage, Isabella ordered the servants to seize the seer and deal with him. Some say that the seer was hanged in the castle, others that he was burned in a barrel.
One way or another, but in 1663, before dying, Mackenzie uttered his famous prophecy: he predicted death for the Seaforth family.

The prediction came true slowly but surely. Over the next 135 years, the Seaforts lost their entire fortune. During the 1688 revolution, they supported King James II (1663-1701), who, losing, fled to France.
In 1715 they supported his son. For this, the British who came to power deprived the Sieforts of their lands and titles. But by the middle of the 18th century, the loyalty of the Sieforts restored them to royal favor, and by 1783 they again inherited estates, lands and titles that had been lost earlier.
By this time, the Brahanian seer Mackenzie was hardly remembered. The new lord had four sons and six daughters. But then one by one his three sons die, the fourth son was also sick, and, although he was sent to England for treatment, he soon dies. The lord himself, the last of the Seaforth family, died in 1815.
