Seismic activity in the United States and North America does not stop. Tectonic vibration, which began after the Ecuadorian earthquake, begins to bear its first fruits already a day later. The lake located not far from the supervolcano, in which a rift with escaping underground gases recently appeared, began to change again.
Beneath its bottom are elongated underground sections of a huge caldera filled with magma, in some places magma pockets are located just five miles below the earth's surface. The northern part of the lake has risen by thirty meters, the length of the ascended section is about seven hundred meters. The situation is complicated by the fact that not only hot gas escapes through the fault at the bottom of the lake, but water also gets inside, turning into steam at depth and accumulating pressure in the area of the Yellowstone supervolcano. If this pressure cannot be reduced due to the already existing faults, then in the end everything can end in the explosion of the dome collecting steam. That speaks in favor of this version. that the bottom of the lake continues to rise as the steam cannot find a way out.
Scientists do not exclude the possibility of an explosion, and they also fear that the waters of the lake will rush into the cavity formed after it and provoke a huge supervolcano to a final awakening.
