The phenomenon has been observed several times in Russia. True, for a long time. A seven-kilogram ice ball fell in Shcherbinka (Moscow region) in 1984. And in 1996, a lump of snow with a volume of several hundred cubic meters fell from the sky onto the forestry near Kazan, damaging dozens of trees.
The ice continues to fall - already this year "bombing" was in Spain, Italy, the United States.

My first thought: the frozen contents of aircraft toilets fall on people's heads. However, when scientists analyzed ice samples - eyewitnesses often stored them in freezers - they did not find characteristic traces of urine, feces or disinfectant fluid in any of them.
Polls of air traffic controllers showed that during the "bombing" over the affected areas, the planes did not fly at all. This means that the ice could not break off the icy wings.
Nor could it be fragments of cometary ice, since laboratory tests showed that the ice of megacryometeorites has the characteristic features of ordinary terrestrial hail.

UFO-CLOUD
Twenty years ago in Moscow, I witnessed an unusual phenomenon. I remember the beautiful July weather: 25 degrees without wind, rare cumulus clouds in the blue sky. From the balcony, I saw a gray disc-shaped cloud appear at a height of less than a kilometer above the neighboring stadium. It made a revolution in 10 seconds, continuously darkening and increasing in diameter. After a few turns, the cloud covered my house. And suddenly it began to brighten quickly. The hailstones rumbled across the rooftops.
The hailstones were of normal size. And, apparently, the basis of their formation was a certain compact expanding vortex, which caused a sharp rarefaction and rapid cooling of the air. Then - in the second phase - he created a compact cloud of supercooled water droplets, which fell out like a hail from nowhere.
What if such a vortex occurs at a high altitude? Then, obviously, the third phase of the process is also possible. Local rarefaction of air in the vortex will create a suction force directed towards its center. Freezing drops will rush to him. And quickly form an ice monolith. That same "bomb".

American researchers from the University of Denver in laboratory conditions discovered: a granite cube under high pressure, characteristic of the bowels, begins to emit electromagnetic radiation.
