Another snapshot transmitted by the rover has become the object of close attention of virtual archaeologists. The image published on the NASA website, called sol 1311, according to one of the virtual archaeologists, who published his observations on March 15, 2016, contains an image of the remains of a fish-like creature among Martian rocks, and the area itself resembles a bend in the bed of a long-dry river.
At the bottom left of the image, you can see the object that caught the attention of the virtual archaeologist. The shape is characteristic of the body of fish, the head, caudal fin and thin ribs are clearly visible, possibly turning into the dorsal fin, but if this fish had a shape resembling the shape of a flounder, as indicated by the eyes located in the same plane on the skull, then the fins are lateral and symmetrically located on the sides of the remains of the body, clearly visible in the photograph.
It is not the first time that enthusiasts have reported about objects that resemble fish remains found in photographs from Mars.
