These balls, found in mines in southern Africa, strongly quarreled representatives of geology with informal historians. The spheres are about 2 billion years old.

Zealots of alternative history give their arguments. According to their version, Klerksdorp balls have a number of features that indicate their non-natural origin. They say they were made either by previous civilizations, or by aliens. They have their own arguments and logic. Indeed, there are many oddities. For example, the hardness of the spheres. In terms of hardness, they are close to diamond. Who and how could have inflicted characteristic grooves on them, if even steel does not leave marks on them?
And then there's the strange behavior. The director of the museum in Klerksdorp said that one of them, closed in a glass showcase and isolated from external influences, suddenly began to rotate on its own axis …
