The Torah and the Koran say that the meat of a pig cannot be eaten by Jews and Muslims. Why?
Some pigs are considered "dirty" animals. Others see the reason that pork is often affected by parasitic, bacterial and viral diseases.
However, unlike the Arabs and Jews, the ancestors of other peoples perfectly dealt with food hygiene issues, and they have no such prohibition!
I think that the origins of the pork ban do indeed have a medical and religious background. But this is due to the epidemics of syphilis and the formation of the institution of the family. In the course of the destruction of the tribal structure of society, in which sexual relations “on the side” did not have the strictest moral prohibition.
Otherwise, the Jewish state could not arise. The ideological support was monotheism (one God - one family) and a strict ban on marriage with representatives of other nationalities, which seems to be a terrible sin! This prohibition is most clearly manifested in the prayer of Ezra from the book of Ezra 9-6: 15.

One of the symptoms of congenital syphilis is a saddle nose. In full face, the patient's nose resembled a pig's "patch" (Figures 1 and 2).
