In the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Japan, there is a large triangular area, which was given the ominous name - the Devil's Sea, and even the Devil's Triangle.
The exact boundaries of this zone have not been fixed, but according to some sources, the Devil's Sea runs southerly from Tokyo, between the island of Guam and the northern border of the Philippine Islands.
This zone got its name because of inexplicable cases when planes disappeared from radars and ships disappeared without a trace. Moreover, Japanese fishermen report that there are not even large fish in the Devil's Triangle and that birds do not fly over these waters.
In the past century, small fishing boats continued to disappear into the Devil's Sea, but the real Japanese government became concerned after a series of large-vessel accidents in the mid-1950s. Among the missing ships were both cargo ships and the most modern ones with high-quality communication systems and reliable equipment.
In 1955, Japan recognized the region as anomalous and ordered to avoid it. Despite this, tragedies continue to happen.
Modern scientists point to meteorological and seismic causes of the anomalies in the Devil's Sea. Weather conditions are very harsh and changeable, and sudden waves can reach over 30 meters in height. The Japanese authorities in official reports put the eruption of underwater volcanoes as the cause of the shipwrecks.

Another feature of the region is infrasonic waves, which can affect the emotional state of the crew of ships. Moreover, special magnetic waves were discovered that can knock down the settings of various on-board equipment and disrupt navigation. The same phenomena can explain the cases of the disappearance of aircraft.
But still, in the study of the Sea of the Devil there are more contradictions than indisputable facts, so today it remains a mystery.
