At the meeting, the head of the department made a sharp remark to one of the subordinates. He said nothing and only stared, as one of the employees put it, at the offender with a glance. And five minutes later, the chief suddenly fell with his head on the table and wheezed …

The ambulance arrived and pronounced death. The pathologist was perplexed: “The heart stopped beating for no reason. As if someone took and stopped him, like a pendulum at a clock. " Police Colonel Vasily Vladimirovich V. was investigating this rather unusual case. Everywhere the investigator turned about the "murderous gaze", but everywhere he received one answer: "Science does not know the facts of murder with a gaze …"

However, history is replete with incidents involving the mysterious impact of the gaze. Here is what, for example, the Canadien Tribune reported a few years ago. Steve McKellan, 55, was attacked by a grizzly bear while hunting. Lying on the ground, “Steve instinctively put out his hand with a knife, and he himself looked, full of despair and rage, rested in the eyes of the beast. And a strange thing - the bear froze in place. The hunter continued to stare into his eyes, trying to look straight into the pupils. He knew what to do this way - only to fuel the rage of the aggressive animal. But he couldn’t help himself. And suddenly … the beast let out a thunderous roar and fell to the ground … The beast was undoubtedly dead … . Not a single wound or even a scratch was found on the bear! And then the researchers suggested that the cause of death is a powerful bioenergetic impulse from the human eyes, destroyed nerve cells in the brain of the beast …

There is nothing extraordinary in this assumption. The people have long believed that the gaze of a person on the verge of death carries a tremendous emotional force that can cause irreparable harm to those he is looking at. (By the way, this explains the custom of blindfolding those sentenced to death.)

However, let's leave the terrible stories for a while and turn to less tragic, but no less mysterious cases from our time.

OCHI HOT

Many people know this feeling: someone is looking at the back of the head. We turn around: "the look presses" … Scientists from the American University of Queens decided to experimentally confirm or deny this conventional wisdom. More than a hundred volunteers took part in the experiments. Each was seated in the middle of the room, and another person looked (or did not look) at the back of his head at a certain time. And what? It turned out that in 95 percent of cases, someone else's gaze was felt quite clearly. Most perceived it as a passing pressure on the back of the head, like a breath of breeze. The only conclusion suggests itself: a person's eyes emit a certain energy. But which one? And is it always harmless, like a light breeze?

This is what a kindergarten teacher from a school in Bishkek said. In drawing lesson, the kid snatched a jar of gouache from his neighbor. No, she did not rush to the offender, did not cry. She just gazed at his hand. And suddenly the mischief with a cry dropped the paint. The teacher who ran up was amazed: a bladder swelled on the boy's wrist, as if from a burn. “How did she burn you? "With" eyes ", the baby roared … When the six-year-old girl, at the request of the researcher, concentrated her gaze on his hand, he felt a rather sensitive prick. What's the matter? Are the eyes capable of emitting some kind of invisible rays?

In 1925, the English physicist Charles Ross set up a whole series of experiments. The subjects tried to act with their eyes on a miniature metal spiral suspended from a silk thread. Many succeeded: the gaze forced a spiral to unfold along the "lines of sight." On this basis, the scientist suggested that the eye emits electromagnetic waves. They began to look for the mechanism of this radiation.

His hypothesis was proposed by the Soviet radiophysicist B. Kazhinsky (1889-1962), who devoted many years to the study of telepathy and mental interaction at a distance. It was his acquaintance with V. Durov (1863-1934) that pushed him to these studies. In the 1920s, the famous trainer repeatedly demonstrated to Kazhinsky how, under the watchful eye of people, animals perform mental suggestions or fall into a state of tetanus. At the same time, one important feature was noticed: if you look even slightly away from the pupils of the animal, it immediately comes to life.

On the basis of such observations, Kazhinsky came to the conclusion that the "rays of sight" are narrow beams of bio-radiation from the brain. And the role of a kind of electromagnetic waveguides is played by the "sticks" of the retina, directly connected to the brain. With their help, the energy generated by the brain can be concentrated and radiated in a narrow direction.

Some modern scientists adhere to similar ideas. Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Yu. Simakov put forward a hypothesis: "In the complexly arranged rods of the retina, something like an X-ray biolaser appears, acting in very short flashes." Was it this laser that caused the burn on the hand of a preschooler from Bishkek? Isn't this laser causing the notorious evil eye and damage?

Recent research in the field of so-called distant interactions has shown that many of the ancient superstitions are not so unfounded. In particular, the experiments carried out by Academician V. Kaznacheev at the Institute of General Pathology and Human Ecology (Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences) have convincingly shown that a laser beam of a certain range can carry information capable of infecting a completely isolated environment with viruses at a distance (even in a sealed glass vessel). If the "rays of sight" are at least somewhat similar to laser ones, then it is possible that they are also capable of carrying viral diseases. In other words, our body is far from indifferent to where we are looking and who is looking at us …

SHE IS COUNTED AND YOU ARE Caught

The author of The Master and Margarita was a subtle psychologist: “You are asked a sudden question. You … in one second take control of yourself and know what to say to hide the truth … Not a single fold on your face moves, but, alas, the truth disturbed by the question from the bottom of your soul for a moment jumps into your eyes, and it's all over. She is seen, and you are caught! "Sometimes these" moments of truth "last a second or even a split second, but they are always there. You just need to catch them …

The casket opens simply - the gaze is able to radiate thoughts. V. Durov and B. Kazhinsky came to such an important conclusion. The power of the human gaze is truly mysterious, the great trainer believed. He had every reason to assert this. More than once he demonstrated to scientists the ability to transmit his thoughts to animals through the manhole. How complex mental suggestions can be is shown, for example, by an experiment in which Kazhinsky became a participant on November 17, 1922. At the request of the scientific commission, Durov had to instill in the dog the following sequence of actions: go out of the living room into the hall, go to the table with the telephone set, pick up an address phone book in his teeth and bring it into the living room. For only half a minute, Durov looked into the dog's eyes, but everything was done exactly. And by the way, as it was noted in the protocol, besides the telephone, there were other books on the same table. “The dog was alone in the front hall; Professor GA was observing its actions. Kozhevnikov through the crack of the open door. V. L. Durov was in the living room out of sight of the dog."

Only in 1920-1921 in the zoopsychological laboratory of Durov, 1278 similar experiments were carried out (most of them successful). At the same time, not only the trainer himself was engaged in suggestion, but also other people who knew his methodology. And it is as follows: “I look through my eyes, as it were, into the brain of a dog and imagine, for example, not the word“go”, but a motor action with the help of which the dog must perform a mental task …” This technique is within the power of almost any person who knows how to concentrate your thought. It is suitable for "programming" not only animals, but also people.

What types of energy are responsible for the transfer of thoughts, scientists have yet to learn. In addition to the electromagnetic one, other hypotheses are being tested today. Some researchers suggest that this is a completely independent type of radiation accompanying, in particular, electromagnetic oscillations of torsion (spin) fields. Other scientists say that so-called form-fields of hollow structures can participate in this. One of the first to discover them above a honeycomb was the Novosibirsk entomologist V. Grebennikov. It turned out that these fields can be felt: in the form of light pressure, cool breezes, flashes in the eyes, or a metallic taste in the mouth. It is assumed that the rods and cones of the eye - the same cellular-layered structures - are also capable of creating a similar wave field. Moreover, the direction of its radiation depends on the direction of the gaze …

This effect is especially effective when the mental flow is directed into the eyes, and through them. as Durov said, “somewhere deeper than the eyes - into the brain of an animal” (and a person). Some modern researchers adhere to the same opinion … They believe that thanks to vision, the brain receives the bulk of not only optical, but also "telepathic" information about the person with whom communication takes place. A huge part of this information is analyzed by us at a subconscious level. And it is thanks to this that, within a minute or two after the start of communication, we intuitively feel what a hitherto unknown person is.

BLINKING FOR PLEASURE?

The hypothesis of the telepathic role of the eyes explains a lot. We goggle in surprise or surprise. We devour with our eyes what we are extremely interested in. Our eyes jump out of their sockets when frightened … It is understandable: our eyes open wide when we unconsciously seek to receive maximum information through them - both visual and telepathic …

And vice versa, we involuntarily cover the gap when we want to isolate ourselves from the outside world: during a boring conversation, with severe fatigue or disregard for what is happening. The eyes close by themselves and when we try to focus on something internal: our thoughts, memories, sensations.

We squint our eyes when closely observing something or with a high concentration of thought. Leaving only a slit for vision, the body thereby tries to isolate itself from everything secondary, unimportant, interfering with focusing on the main thing.

It is also no coincidence that a person closes his eyes or averts his eyes under someone's reproachful, condemning gaze. Thus, he does not allow other people's emotions in them and protects his brain from negative information.

If we agree with the hypothesis about the transmission of thought through a glance, then other patterns noticed by psychologists also become clear. So, for example, during a conversation, the one who considers his interlocutor stronger, more experienced, wiser looks more often in the eyes. Like a student at school, he thus opens his brain to telepathic suggestion. For the same reason, the narrator rarely makes eye contact with the listener. An intensive process of formulating thoughts is going on in his brain, and someone else's gaze (and, consequently, other people's thoughts) can interfere with this. So he averts his eyes.

It is known: the greater the distance between the interlocutors, the more often they look into each other's eyes. There is nothing mysterious in this either: frequent glances compensate for the decreased information exchange. And the advice of experienced people is quite natural: in order to better understand someone or to convey your own thought without distortion, look the interlocutor directly in the eyes. In this case, it will be better perceived not only the state of mind of each other, but also thoughts. After all, the information dialogue goes directly: brain - brain.

Conversely, in order to save our subconscious mind from unwanted influences, it is better not to look into the eyes of the one who is attacking us. Turn away. In extreme cases, they look at the bridge of his nose or forehead. The "aggressor" will not notice anything, unless he feels something imperceptibly unpleasant, "cold": after all, there will be no real sensitive contact (which is required). But on the other hand, we will somehow be insured against the effects of its negative energies: the narrowly targeted microantennas of our eyes will deviate from someone else's energy and will not let most of it into our brain.

An interesting observation: women, unlike men, look into the eyes much more often and do not perceive a direct gaze as a threat. Rather, on the contrary, for them it is a sign of interest and a desire to establish contact. Some researchers believe that such a need for direct views is inherent in a woman by nature itself. On the one hand, it is caused by the need to attract a partner for procreation. And on the other hand, the need for “subtle” communication with newborns: it is through the eyes that the mother establishes telepathic contact with her child, when he has not yet learned to speak.

There is another explanation for why women tend to look straight. If for the male half of humanity, logical thinking is more characteristic and therefore, first of all, the meaning of words is important, then for a woman of a more intuitive being, what stands behind the words is more important. She is much more receptive to telepathic information, and therefore look is much more important for her than for men.

OCHI BLACK, OCHI PASSIONATE …

Psychologists have done an interesting experiment. Two photographs of a girl were taken from one negative and presented to different people so that they would choose the one that is prettier. All as one pointed to the same photo, although they could not explain their choice, since they did not notice any difference in the pictures. And the secret was simple: in this photograph, the pupils of the eyes were slightly enlarged with the help of retouching. Why they are so attractive, scientists could not explain.

Meanwhile, in the old days, it was believed that the size of the pupils speaks of vitality: they are wide open when the body is full of strength, and decrease when the energy leaves it (towards old age, during a serious illness). If we accept this point of view, then it is clear why we are so attracted to large pupils: healthy, full of energy people are liked more at all times. But this is only a psychological explanation …

There is also an energy-informational version. Pupils grow larger when there is a need for external information. They are expanded in childhood, when the brain craves for knowledge … In stressful situations, when we need maximum information to make a decision … And the pupils immediately narrow when interest in the world around them is lost, when a person tries to isolate himself from it, withdraw into himself when he is irritated, embittered … It is assumed that there is one more reason for this: the constriction of the pupils prevents an already depleted supply of energy from leaving the body …

It has been noticed that with increased interest in a sexual partner, the pupils noticeably dilate. This is a kind of appeal - perhaps hence the subconscious sympathy for the owners of large pupils. But this is not just a call. Most likely, when the pupil expands, the "magical" effect on the "desired" is enhanced. After all, the telepathic channel for secret thoughts and desires is also expanding. Here is a special kind of evil eye - love, as it was called in Russia. Generated by an ardent passion, he caused in the victim not a disease, like an ordinary evil eye, but an insane love desire.

Knowing or intuitively understanding the role of the pupils, women have long resorted to tricks to make them larger. For this, they were ready to sacrifice even visual acuity. Even in ancient Rome, and later in Italy and Spain, they instilled in the eyes the juice of a very poisonous herb - belladonna. From this, the pupil greatly expanded, the eyes acquired a mysterious shine and depth, which gave the woman a special appeal. It is no coincidence that "belladonna" in Italian means "beautiful lady, beauty". In Russia this herb was called no less symbolic - belladonna …

The hypothesis about the reception and transmission of thoughts with the help of a glance explains a lot. Including the "magic of black eyes". The pupils are also indirectly to blame for their incomprehensible attractiveness: they merge with the dark color of the iris and from this seem very large. And then we are talking about eyes: bottomless, witchcraft … It is possible that the size of the pupils explains the special charm of myopic ladies. After all, their lack of vision is often compensated by an increase in pupils …

But the dilation of the pupils at the time of death is a fact that is not yet amenable to explanation. He is still waiting for a deep study … However, there is an assumption that dilated pupils give a person the opportunity to better look into the "subtle" world where he has to leave. Who knows?..

GLITCHES DRUNK TED

One of the first who recorded on a photographic plate the mysterious radiation from the eyes was the Parisian artist of the 19th century Pierre Boucher, who worked part-time with photography that was then becoming fashionable. It happened by accident. In the evening, the photographer got drunk, as they say, to hell. And in the most literal sense: as he himself said, all night long after him were chasing two vile devil with a pitchfork in their hands. In the morning, not sleeping enough, with a cast-iron head, he trudged to his laboratory: it was necessary to urgently develop the photographic plates taken the day before. Chaos reigned on the desktop: the exposed cassettes were strewn with blank tapes. For a long time the artist examined them, trying to figure out which of them needed to be shown. In the end, he gave up this hopeless occupation, showed everything and was dumbfounded: from the records the disgusting faces of the night guests looked at him. But this was no longer a hallucination:the negatives turned out to be quite tolerable "otherworldly" photographs.

The famous astronomer and researcher of anomalous phenomena Camille Flammarion (1842-1925) became interested in the phenomenon. Soon, his publications on "psychic photography" appeared, which actually laid the foundation for this type of research. The new results confirmed the reality of the phenomenon. The projection of visual hallucinations from the eyes at the end of the 19th century was reported by the famous Russian psychiatrist V. Kh. Kandinsky (1849-1889): "The pictures projected on the screen … are invisible in bright lighting, but it is worth darkening the room, as they appear very sharply and brightly." At the beginning of the 20th century, as a result of experiments in different countries, including Russia, even several books, illustrated with "psychophotographs", appeared.

Then there was a lull in research on "psychophotography" for several decades. It was violated in the early 60s by the former American sailor Ted Serios.

Decommissioned ashore, this drinker accidentally discovered that his thoughts could light up photographic film. Moreover, to project your own mental images onto it. To the amusement of the public, he began to record various pictures on film with the help of thought. They pointed the camera at his face, clicked the shutter and … instead of the concentrated face of Ted the drunkard, some (most often well-known) buildings, structures, landscapes appeared on the developed photographic film …

Intrigued scientists persuaded Ted to quit his career as a bellboy at the Chicago Hilton and become a paid guinea pig. For four years in the laboratory of the famous American psychiatrist Jules Eisenbad in Denver, Colorado, meticulous research was carried out. They completely denied the fraud version. About eight hundred experiments with Ted were conducted by American researchers J. Pratt and Ian Stevenson. To avoid cheating, scientists themselves ordered Ted "pictures": buildings, landscapes … And in ninety percent of cases, he fulfilled the order with stunning accuracy.

In our country, around the same years, similar qualities were demonstrated by the "pearl of Russian parapsychology" Ninel Sergeevna Kulagina (1926-1990). At the request of scientists, she not only illuminated photographs with her thoughts, but also exhibited on film the figures and symbols ordered by her: stars, crosses, letters … Everything was documented by independent commissions consisting of reputable scientists.

In 1973, a 32-year-old psychiatrist from Perm, Gennady Krokhalev, undertook to experimentally confirm the version that had existed for more than a decade, namely: visual images arise in the brain and are transmitted to the retina of the eye, from where they are emitted into space. With the help of a device specially designed by him, Krokhalev was able to brilliantly confirm this hypothesis in practice on several hundred patients.

Everything was done to increase the objectivity and reliability of experiments. While photographing or filming radiation from the eyes, patients aloud described their hallucinations. Their stories were recorded and then compared with the images that appeared on the photographic film. The coincidences were amazing. The photographs clearly showed what the patients were talking about at the time of shooting: “animal horns”, “fish”, “lake and elk”, “road, tanks and soldiers”, “factory”, “tree”, “devil”, "Snake", "sunflower" and much more. Control shots, when there were no hallucinations, had no flares or images.

Such an oddity was also discovered: mental images are fixed on photographic film even in those cases when it is placed in a light-proof envelope. Based on this, some researchers suggested that "radiation from the eyes is formed not only in the visible wavelength range, but also in some other, in which the black paper of the package is transparent" (Doctor of Technical Sciences Prof. A. Chernetsky) … Research in recent years seems to support this hypothesis: the human eye has been shown to be capable of emitting weak X-rays and coherent ("laser") radiation.

Scientists are interested in the problem of “thought photographs”. And although paranormal research is usually not publicized due to its strategic importance, some information does leak from time to time. So, for example, recently a report flashed that Japanese scientists have already created a highly sensitive screen on which the contours of images appear when someone stares at it. There is information about similar developments in other countries.
