A World Heritage Site, Stonehenge, a stone megalithic structure in Wiltshire, UK, was not built by humans, says Welsh explorer Brian John.
But do not rush to think that Stonehenge was built by aliens or some representatives of an alternative earthly intelligent civilization - everything is much simpler. The megalithic structure, as John assures, appeared on the territory of modern Wiltshire thanks to … the glacier, which brought huge boulders here with its chthonic power.
Brian John offers an original clue to a mystery over which archaeologists have been wrestling for many years - scientists do not know how the massive stones, which were apparently transported to Stonehenge from Wales, traveled one hundred and forty miles and ended up in England.
“I don’t understand why the version of the glacier is still not generally accepted. Obviously, only a retreating glacier could have brought these huge boulders here. People could only fold them into a round structure. There is, however, an option that generally excludes human intervention - the stones could have formed in a circle due to an amazing natural accident,”says the scientist.
