Where does the line between legend and truth, fiction and truth end? Where should one look for that subtle line that separates the metaphorical nature of the tale and the true images that stand behind the metaphoricity? Why people in our world are so inclined to believe in myths, legends, miracles, knowing full well that this has never happened, this is just a fiction, but when you tell them that not all fairy tales are fiction, that most of the legends do not arise by themselves, but it bears the imprint of some event, important wisdom - here doubts and misunderstandings immediately begin. Like, this could not be, because this could never be. An artist is an inventor, a poet will certainly embellish, a sculptor can make a sculpture completely unlike the person he is depicting - after all, he conveys an image, not facial features.

In connection with the above, I have for you, dear readers, the last question - are you ready to change something in your worldview, are you ready to honestly admit to yourself that practically everything that you know from the elementary grades of primary school is in fact, it is not true that you have not been told something of the most important and meaningful, that you have been lied to, lie and continue to lie. If you are not ready for this, then it is better not to read this article, since going beyond your worldview circle is both very difficult and very simple.

And one last note before I move on to the very essence of my short story - henceforth know that I am a 33rd degree of initiation Mason, Illuminati, hereditary member of the Templar Order, titled alchemist, one of the members of the secret world government, humanoid, reptilian, member Chabad, Hasid, FBI and CIA agent, al - Qaeda and Taliban member, etc., etc. Conspiracy theorists all over the world - unite!

What do you know about Norumbega city? Like almost nothing? After all, 200 years ago, many outstanding minds puzzled over the riddle of this mysterious city. I will quote:

Norumbega (Norumbega, Norumbègue, Nurumbega, there are other spellings; the etymology is not reliably known, although according to one of the more or less accepted explanations, this word in the language of the Algonquin Indian tribe means "a quiet place between the rapids" or "a quiet section of the river bed") in geography XVI-XVII centuries was a legendary settlement and country-region in the northeastern part of North America. Like the semi-mythical toponym "Katay", the name "Norumbega" was used to fill in the voids in geographical knowledge. Norumbega, in fact, was the designation for the New World, presenting new opportunities to people. This image became characteristic of the American continent that was discovered for Europe at the end of the 15th century.

For the first time this name (in writing "Oranbeg") appeared on the map of the Tuscan cartographer Girolamo Verrazzano in 1529 (compiled from the travel materials of his brother Giovanni Verrazzano, who apparently learned about Norumbega from rumors). The earliest known indication of a visit to Norumbega at this time was a message from the French navigator Jean Alphonse, dated 1542. He reported that he reached the coast south of Newfoundland and discovered a large bay, turning into a river: it was determined that this watercourse was 40 leagues wide at the mouth [by the way, absolutely incredible value, considering that 1 league - until 1674 - was equal to approximately 3.25 km] and retains a width of 30-40 leagues upstream. The bay is full of islands stretching 10 or 20 leagues into the sea. Fifteen leagues upstream of this great river lies the city of Norombega, inhabited by wise inhabitants who trade furs of all kinds. They themselves dress in sable furs. These people use many words that sound like Latin. They are tall, handsome in shape, and sun worshipers. The country of Norombegi is located on a hill and has a convenient location.

Promotional video:

Does the description of the inhabitants of Norumbegi remind anyone? Specifically, this phrase intrigued me so much that I began to intensively dig wherever possible. Note - there is not a word about Indians or Redskins in the sailor's certificate. Moreover, only rare Indians are tall:

What is the appearance of these original inhabitants of America? Although the various natural conditions of individual regions of the continent have left their imprint on certain groups of the population, we can easily find many common, inherent in all Indians, distinctive features that bring them closer to the Mongoloid peoples of Asia. Stocky figure, short weight and rather long arms, small hands and feet, high and usually broad forehead, poorly developed brow ridges. Large, strongly protruding nose (often, especially in the north, the so-called aquiline). Quite a big mouth. The eyes are most often dark brown. Hair is black, straight, thick. Average growth predominates, but in some areas it is much lower than average (for example, among the Pueblo Indians and among most tribes of Tierra del Fuego).

But since the concept of "average height" is relative, you need to know the real numbers - here they are:

The average height of men - natives of the North American plains was 172.6 centimeters (Australian aborigines then had an average height of 172 centimeters, European Americans - 171 centimeters and Europeans - below 170 centimeters).

I don't know how to whom, but in my understanding, high growth is 185 cm and above.

Then - the Indians worshiped Spirits, not the Sun. The Maya and Aztecs, who had a solar cult, lived much south of the proposed location of the city of Norumbegi - in the territory of modern Mexico.

And who dresses in sable furs and skins? And what such language is similar in pronunciation to Latin? I will not give all the facts. Fomenko and Nosovsky have a book Russian roots of "ancient" Latin. Dictionary of Parallelisms - see for yourself.

Further, if we continue the chain of logical inferences, I recall the Norman theory of no, not the foundation of Russia, but the conquest of America.

Leif Eriksson the Happy (Icelandic Leifur Eiriksson; c. 970 - c. 1020) is a Scandinavian navigator who visited North America five centuries before Christopher Columbus. Ruler and Baptist of Greenland. Son of Viking Eric the Red, discoverer of Greenland, and grandson of Thorvald Asvaldson.

Leif's campaigns are known from such manuscripts as The Saga of Eric the Red and The Saga of the Greenlanders. Their reliability has been confirmed by archaeological discoveries such as the Kensington Runestone.

Here is this runestone, which was found near the city of Kengsington, Minnesota, USA:

It seems to me that the name of the famous navigator, the Viking, needs to be slightly corrected. Leo Happy, the son of Yaroslav Ryzhy - something like that.

But back to our El Dorado. The English sailor David Ingram made a significant contribution to the legend of Norumbeg, who claimed that, having suffered a shipwreck in 1568, he crossed America from Mexico to Nova Scotia. In his story, Norumbega (which he described as the city of Bega, where the streets are wider than London ones and the houses have columns of crystal and silver) was a classic Ophir or Eldorado. Ingram allegedly saw kings with 6-inch rubies; they wore silver chains and crystal ornaments decorated with precious stones. Ingram contemplated pearls in such abundance as pebbles, and everywhere gold and silver were in abundance. The streets are wider than London ones! An inventor, and nothing more. But about the city of Bega is very interesting. The fact is that none of the researchers of this issue could clearly say what this mysterious name - Norumbega - means. In the Indian dialect, this is something related to water, on which it was decided. However, let's follow the path of the great seditious Tadeusz Volansky, who dared to decipher the Etruscan letters, which no one could read, based on the Slavic languages. Let's look into Dahl's dictionary RUN, bek, bey m. 2. Location. Travelers moving along the northeastern coast of America naturally made attempts to find Norumbega. The most significant of these was the attempt by Humphrey Gilbert, when, during his ill-fated expedition in 1583, he did not find either the isthmus of Verrazzano or its Norumbegi and eventually decided to establish a British colony in Newfoundland. But the first truly systematic attempt to find Norumbega was the journey of Samuel de Champlain. He searched for Norumbega in 1604 and was sure that he had found the places indicated by Alfons. He identified them as the well-known Penobscot River, flowing between the Appalachians and the Gulf of Maine. Champlain reached the Penobscot rapids in the place where the modern city of Bangor (Maine) later appeared, but he found only small and poor native villages and a mossy cross in the forest. He explored the shores of what is now Nova Scotia and did not find Norumbegi there. He founded the colony of Port Royal (now Annapolis) and from 1604 to 1607, in search of Norumbegi, he carefully explored the coast in a southerly direction to Cape Cod Bay. Obviously, not wanting to completely pass over in silence the traditional name of Norumbeg, Champlain on his map of 1612 gave this name to an Indian settlement at the mouth of the Penobscot. But now that Norumbega has been relegated to an insignificant Indian village, scientists have lost interest in her and she began to disappear from the maps. For some reason, the Dutch were not affected. It's not clear why, but Norumbega continued to appear on Dutch maps throughout the 17th century and even into the 18th century. The Dutch cartographers were no more conservative and no less traditionally copied each other, than the cartographers of other countries. It is possible that the frustration of the Dutch at the fact that all their efforts in the New World are nullified by the British before they have time to implement anything has given rise to a desire to maintain faith in the geographical myth. They were looking in the wrong place, that's understandable. Because the Penobscot River - the only major river in Maine, clearly does not pull on a "wide bay that turns into a river." There is a more detailed 1597 map by Cornelius Whitfliff showing Norumbega next to Virginia.

Image
Image

Here's a modern map:

Image
Image

Note the distance between Maine and Virginia. Chisapik Bay is not indicated on Whitliff's map, however, very close to the place where it should be located, the same Norumbega with the same bay is shown. On later maps, when this area has already been explored more carefully, the bay appears.

Map of a certain Delaet, 1774. Norumbegi is gone.

Image
Image

Chisapik Bay in all respects corresponds to the bay, during which the mythical city was located. But if so, then the ruins of this huge city, the remains of wealth and luxury, should have remained. And what do we see? 15 leagues upstream, the bay turns into the Potomac River, on which the capital of the United States, Washington, is located, and a little higher - the city of Baltimore, also one of the largest cities in the United States.

And so what? an inquisitive reader will ask.

3

Indeed, what then?

Here is a plan for Washington in 1792, drawn up by Pierre Lanfant, a French major and architect, together with a companion surveyor A. Ellicot.

Image
Image

Only in 1790 was an agreement reached on the choice of a site for the capital on the river. Potomac between Georgetown and Alexandria. In March 1791, President Washington appointed the surveyor A. Ellicott and Major P. Lanfant, a Frenchman serving in the US Army, to be responsible for the allotment of the site and the preparation of the plan for the new capital. The complexity of the problems of buying out land for construction forced Washington to negotiate with landowners. As a result, an agreement was reached according to which “every second piece of land” remained in the ownership of landowners. Only sections of public buildings were bought out and the streets were alienated. From the very beginning, this sharply narrowed the possibility of effective regulation of the development of the capital. The city was allocated a square area of approximately 16x16 km ("Ten Mile Square"), called "District of Columbia". Planning measures concerned the center of this square, which constituted approximately 1/10 of its area and formed the city of Washington. On June 22, Langfang already presented Washington with a preliminary version of the master plan; in late August, he completed the work, taking into account the comments made by Washington. I think that the words of Langfang himself, explaining the project, fully convey his idea; “Having identified some anchor points to which I wanted to subordinate all the others, I laid out at right angles, from north to south and from east to west, streets, after which I opened some directions, making avenues going to and from each important point, wishing at the same time not to contrast with the general regularity and not to try to achieve a variety of places and beauty, but simply to provide direct and convenient connections connecting different parts of the city with each other "connecting different parts of the city with each other"

But this project was not immediately implemented, unfortunately, it was partially implemented only in the 19th century.

Langfang did not have to supervise the planning of the capital for long. Simultaneously with the beginning of the layout of the streets, back in 1791 speculation in land plots began. Langfant objected to it, objected to violations of the plan in kind, against the publication of the plan for propaganda purposes in mass circulation, against unauthorized changes made by Ellicott to the version of the plan published by him in 1792. And Langfang was removed from the leadership. It was natural and logical. Langfang has already played its part. He created an ambitious plan for a huge capital city, but no one was going to build it immediately. This was too much for the newly formed state, which did not yet have sufficient funds or a stable organizational and political structure. Moreover, the very independence of the United States remained under threat until the victory in the war of 1812-1814. over England. Washington also suffered in the course of this war. In 1814 the British captured it and burned it almost completely. First of all, the White House and the Capitol were put on fire - “this harbor of Yankee democracy,” as British Admiral Cockburn put it. The entire course of designing Washington and the entire history of the first two decades of its existence suggests that the activities around the new capital were primarily of a pronounced propaganda character. The plan of 1792 by Lanfan-Ellicott was made in the form of a large beautiful engraving, and was multiplied in several thousand (!) Copies, sold in the USA and sent to most European countries. The sale of the land was advertised by the government itself. Real construction proceeded slowly. According to eyewitnesses, by 1817 most of the streets were marked only by rows of poplars, the roads were dirty and unpaved. In the first half of the XIX century. mainly built and rebuilt the Capitol and the White House. Until the middle of the 19th century. Washington continued to be a large, semi-built-up village that served as a constant subject for newspaper cartoons. The situation began to change only after the civil war of 1860-1865. Second half of the 19th century was generally the time of the heyday of American entrepreneurship. Having seized vast territories in the east, right up to the Pacific coast, and having captured almost half of Mexico in 1848, the United States began to rapidly develop its economy, using the most advanced methods, the most effective technology. Construction was no exception. In 1863, for example, the famous Capitol dome in Washington was completed. His cast-iron structures were the last word in the construction technique of the time. They were erected,as the famous architectural historian, professor of several US universities Henry Hitchcock writes, based on the model of St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg, completed in the 1850s. In new construction equipment, like a century later in space, Russia was ahead of the United States. Do they write about that backward Russia and the developed States? Something is hard to believe. It was only in the second half of the 19th century that Washington began to resemble the outline of the plan drawn up by Lanthan. Of course, many of what was already chaotically built cannot be fixed, or the houses that made up "a large half-littered village, which is the object of cartoons", would have to be demolished. But it is as it is.like a century later in space, Russia was ahead of the United States. Do they write about that backward Russia and the developed States? Something is hard to believe. 5. Conclusions

Until 1779, the entire northeastern part of North America was designated as Terra incognita - an unknown land. Cartographers either draw the largest part of the land, which is indicated very conditionally, or they do not draw this part at all. Here are some examples. Maps of the late 17th early 18th century.

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

But why was this? Yes, because the entire northwestern part of America belonged to Tartaria, and the Europeans who occupied the rest of the New World (let's call a spade a spade, it's scary to imagine how many people died at the hands of "enlightened" Europeans led by the frozen mercenary Cortes) just let there. It was a border that no one dared to cross … until a certain moment. The world war, which lasted 15 long years - from 1773 to 1788, is reflected in the history as the suppression of Pugachev's fur boots in 1773 - 1775, and in America - as the war for the American independence of 1775 - 1783. If interested, there are fragments of this event here. They pressed on from both sides - on the left, the German Romanovs, on the right, the American "democrats". Immediately after the end of the war and the loss of Tartaria, a bunch of new cities appear, including Chicago,Baltimore, Washington, etc., while in Russia Catherine builds as many as 144 cities, the history is rewritten by the victors, and after 1814 control finally passes into the hands of foreigners. The nuclear strike of 1814 was also reflected in the USA history - this is the Anglo - American War of 1812 - 1814.

And now imagine that the thugs did not reach Norumbegi, our people still lived there, lived very richly and honestly, just like in Chicago, which "by mistake" portrayed Mercator as "Chlaga" back in the 16th century. Norumbega is most likely a kind of amalgamation of Washington and Baltimore, in which the streets were indeed wider than in London, as the English sailor described. What made them leave the once rich city? One can only guess about this. But a lot of blood was shed at that time, and how much pain and suffering there was is incomprehensible to the mind. Of the two thousand Indian tribes, only twenty remained, who now live on reservations, and consider Ukraine or Russia a paradise in comparison with them. But if the Indians remained as the more numerous indigenous population of North America, then where did all the Rus go? Terrible times, oh and terrible were …

And Norumbega really was - and still stands today, only it was taken by not honest people who worship Yarila - the Sun and walk in sable furs.

All health and sober mind)
