This means that 22 million Russians have already been ill with COVID-19!

One of the largest networks of medical laboratories "Invitro" presented the first results of mass testing for antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes COVID-19 disease.

From May 18 to May 21, more than 40 thousand people passed tests for the qualitative determination of class G antibodies (IgG) against the new type of coronavirus at the Invitro laboratories throughout Russia. Moreover, 14% of them tested positive for antibodies.

All test participants had no symptoms of coronavirus infection and felt healthy in recent months - they were not diagnosed with COVID-19 and they did not take coronavirus tests.

This is the first data on population immunization to COVID-19 based on a sample across Russia. According to this study, scientists can argue that the average number of people who have had COVID-19 in Russia is about 22 million people.

Testing for antibodies to coronavirus in Russia is also carried out by the Chaika, DNKOM, Rassvet, European Medical Center, GMS and Hadassah Medical Moscow clinics. Private medical laboratories "Helix", "Gemotest", KDL and LabQuest announced plans to conduct tests.

At the same time, free testing for antibodies to coronavirus began in Moscow on May 15. Now only a small number of people can take part in it, but from May 27 in Moscow they will begin testing for antibodies of all comers.
