House in Usatovo
The most famous haunted house in Odessa. According to some legends, it was built by an old sailor, who after his death bequeathed to immure his body into the foundation of the house. According to others, a witch lived here, who was buried right on the site.
According to the third, during the construction of the house there was not enough brick, and the workers borrowed it, dismantling the wall of the neighboring cemetery. One of the owners of the house, a policeman, went mad and shot his entire family. The house was resold many times, but none of the tenants were able to live in it.
