One of the new and widely advertised technologies in recent years is computer-controlled cars. Today we are talking, for the most part, about the automated transportation of goods, but, as the authors of the technology assure, soon such cars will be all:

With all the advantages of this innovation, there were too many pitfalls. In particular, the first computer-controlled truck was presented to the public about 20 years ago. Well, where are they, these miracle trucks? Somehow they are not on the roads and in the near future there will not be much.

Therefore, in the light of these and similar considerations, one of the Swedish companies proposed an alternative solution to the problem - that is, the same trucks, but controlled remotely, without leaving the apartment or office there:

So, purely technically, it was possible to remotely control a truck 100 years ago, attempts at which were repeatedly made. In the last century, the topic did not receive its development for many reasons, including the lack of communication infrastructure. But in the 21st century, when cell towers were stuck along every road, the idea became easily feasible and absolutely real.

Nevertheless, some big bosses cut these undertakings in the bud and investors bypassed a very promising initiative. And so, it must have coincided that at the peak of the world quarantine, suddenly some people in Sweden raised the flag again and presented a working prototype.

Moreover, work on it began, it was determined not at the time of the announcement of quarantine, and the presentation was chronologically adjusted perfectly. Therefore, one might think that the topic of “driving a truck” from an apartment is not so simple and most likely there was a global team for it. If quarantine had been announced for one reason or another 20 years ago, the world economy would have stood up the next day, even about an hour later. We do not know how about a subway train or an airplane, but the trolleybus can be controlled remotely. Or a crane on the counter. Or a steamer sailing the seas somewhere. On board there will be enough two stokers to throw coal into the furnace in shifts, and another healthy man to raise and lower the anchor.

At one time, Mr. Kashpirovsky gave patients anesthesia on TV and everyone laughed, but today remote medical consultations are generally accepted. If you look at all these today's innovations globally, then people in the shops, in the office, on the streets and on construction sites are not particularly needed. An engineer can design a part while sitting in a chair at home. Then this part will be made by a programmable machine. Then the part will be taken to the warehouse by the robot driver, where it will be sorted and sent to the assembly plant by the robot logistics. And then the part will be taken over by a fully automated line, where either a car or… will appear at the exit. robot engineer.

Today, there are practically no jobs left where a person's presence is required - he can be replaced everywhere. And where it is required to think a little broader than within the framework of the program, there, as the Swedes have shown, an employee may well work remotely. And this state of affairs already allows you to clearly see the near future in which people will stop going to work - for example, due to the next strict quarantine. Nevertheless, the industry and fruit harvesting will not stop anywhere - either robots or people who control the process remotely will work. Everything goes to that.

However, the most interesting thing is the prospect that will develop after all these quarantines. Take the same trucker driving a car remotely. Doesn't it take too many resources for this biped to live in a separate apartment? It would be much cheaper to pack it in a coffin and inject nutritious bean soup or other solution into a vein - and let it control it remotely through a coaxial cable screwed into the skull, simultaneously generating heat and blessed electricity.

Optimists, of course, reassure themselves that the future will look completely different, nevertheless, real trends say that everything is heading for that. And pessimists - so they generally think that everything has come to the described picture long ago, that robots have seized power in the world, and we are now, as it were, on another round repeating the old historical cycle, floating in the darkness in some kind of glass flasks. And there is no way to somehow refute this point of view or confirm.
