Hurricane Chiara carried the skeleton of a mysterious sea creature to the northeastern coast of Scotland, the Daily Mail writes.

Unidentified remains found on a beach in Aberdeenshire County. The published photograph shows a long serpentine skeleton with horn-shaped protrusions in the front. Debates have erupted on social media about who it may belong to: a whale, a killer whale or a fox shark that is found in British waters in summer.

Specialists in marine biology also cannot yet identify the remains. “Unfortunately, based on just one photo, we can only say that this is a whale of some kind. We need images from other angles to establish this precisely,”David Lusso of the University of Aberdeen told the newspaper.

The confusion of experts has provoked a new wave of rumors about the Loch Ness monster. The famous Loch Ness is located less than 200 km from the place where the find was found.

“Nessie! She got out to sea to her death,”wrote one of the Twitter users. Another commentator suggested that Nessie was unable to adapt to salt water.
