So, Pisac is a city of allegedly Incas, located in the mountains, not far from Cuzco. The main part of the city is built below, and at the very top (about 3 kilometers high) are the ruins of the Temple of the Sun.

Unfortunately, I could not find a photo of this very temple of the Sun above. At least when I found it, I was not sure if it was him. Many researchers and tourists simply do not get there, because of the enormous height, so all that remains is to talk about the most, no less interesting city.

If you believe the official history, then Pisac is one of the largest cities of the Incas, as it is located all over the mountain with a total area of almost 150 kilometers, which is certainly impressive for that time period.

If Sacsayhuaman, Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo the Incas, according to my version, touched little, then in this city there are many traces of their primitive and rough masonry.

Although something in general was restored closer to our time, as far as we know.

Promotional video:

While climbing to the city, one can think of how the Incas evolved from the "time of construction" of Sacsayhuaman and other objects and learned how to make walls themselves from ideal polygonal masonry, as well as ordinary megalithic, but large, well-processed blocks.

It is noticeable how in the upper part the Incas were already completing something themselves, or restored, and the lower masonry is much better

Only later, everything falls into place and it is immediately clear where the Incas completed the walls to the best of their ability. And the possibilities and their level of development, in comparison with the unknown civilization of the first builders in Peru, to put it mildly, were different.

In general, in this city, as in all other objects of Peru, you can see the ideal polygonal and megalithic masonry and more primitive, presumably belonging to the Incas.

By the way, the terraces occupy a fairly large part of the mountain and allow you to move from one place and structures to others, for example, to the very temple of the Sun.

What conclusion can be drawn? Pisac is a city where, apparently, the Incas lived for a long time, since there are many traces of them. But all the same, as always, it is noticeable that initially the "city" was built by another civilization for unknown purposes.

As far as we know, the temple, which is located above, is almost completely destroyed, but looking at it, one could also draw some conclusions.

As a result, the place, and the city itself, respectively, is interesting, but only when it was actually built, and what is the purpose of this place, now one can only guess, unfortunately.
