Lightning, the nature of which still remains a mystery to scientists, hides, among others, another secret: sometimes, falling into a person, they, instead of killing, heal him or endow him with superpowers. This is what we'll talk about today.
Case one
In 1855. lightning struck Reuben Stevenson, plowing a field in the English village of Langtoft. As a result, two horses harnessed to the plow were killed, and the man himself was on the verge of death, but survived.
Interestingly, a doctor named Alison, who was treating a burn victim, discovered that he had cancer. He was going to operate on Stevenson when he recovered somewhat from the lightning strike. However, when this happened, it turned out that the tumor had disappeared without a trace. The doctor reasonably assumed that his patient was cured of cancer not without the help of lightning.
Second case
In 1971. American Edwin Robinson became blind and partially deaf as a result of a terrible truck accident. The man was in this deplorable state until June 9, 1980. Lightning struck when Robertson, being near his home (Falmouth, Maine), tried to save his beloved chicken from the rain, and knocked him to the ground.

Case three
August 17, 1994 lightning cured multiple sclerosis Mary Kleiser by striking her house in Oklahoma. The woman was suffering from a severe illness for twenty-two years, gradually losing control of her legs and finally finding herself in a wheelchair. At the moment of the lightning strike Mary was in the shower, with one hand she was holding onto the metal faucet, the other - by the handle of the toilet bowl. The woman also had metal braces on her feet.
Mary lost consciousness from a lightning strike, and woke up already in the hospital, when the doctor checked whether she had broken bones when she fell. Much to Mary's surprise, she felt the touch of her paralyzed, still very recently insensitive legs!.. Three weeks later the woman was already walking without special braces, and after two months she was wearing high-heeled shoes.
Fourth case
In July 2017. Fate Mobley, a 16-year-old resident of Haleville, Alabama, was struck by lightning. The girl worked at McDonald's and was just washing dishes when lightning struck the restaurant and got to her through the pipes.
The lightning went through the headset in Mobley's hands, pierced the girl's body, and exited her left leg, leaving a large hole in the shoe. The unconscious Mobley was rescued by her employee, who called 911 on time. Later, the girl said that at the very moment of the impact she felt her body tense, and only then she lost consciousness.
Curiously, Faith Mobley's only injury was a burn on her left leg, through which the lightning left her body. Moreover, the girl's eyesight was miraculously restored, and she no longer needed glasses, and the color of the eyes themselves changed: it was brown - it became gray …
Case five
In January 2017. Scientists from Trinity College Dublin have published an article on how a woman was healed of synesthesia after being struck by lightning. The authors of the article did not indicate the woman's personality and conditionally named her "AB".
Synesthesia is a strange condition with many variations, for example, people hear colors, see music and words, etc. Most synesthetics do not want to part with their unusual "gift", but there are those who suffer from this condition. Some people take medication, but they don't help much.
