It became known that people dream before death. To do this, doctors from a hospice located in the US state of New York analyzed the dreams of their patients. It turned out that these visions can be called a kind of self-psychotherapy.

It was found that seriously ill people have the same dreams about 4 months before they die. Their motive was mainly meetings with deceased relatives, writes Rambler. The dead, in particular, call the dreamers with them, informing them that “on the other side” is good and not scary.

Some people dreamed that they went on a plane or train trip accompanied by deceased family members. About 50% saw how they were going "on their last journey" and saying goodbye to their relatives.

The dreams of terminally ill children were different. Little patients dreamed not of their relatives "immigrants from the other world", but unfamiliar adults, as well as pets.

Perhaps all these images help patients overcome difficulties and prepare for the end of their life path, doctors suggested. True, they could not explain why less than a month before death, the subjects began to see more colorful dreams, and the frequency of those increased.
