To the east of Peru is the city of Cuzco, which from the eleventh to the sixteenth centuries AD was the capital of the empire of a powerful people - the Incas. But, despite this, it has been scientifically proven that people first began to settle in these lands more than three thousand years ago. In that part of the city of Cusco, which is the most ancient, there is a mysterious complex of incredible ancient structures called Sacsayhuaman.
The stonework of this walled city has been of great interest to scholars and has been the subject of lively discussions for several years. The fact is that all buildings were created using the so-called cyclopean masonry, which is created due to the fact that stone blocks, huge in volume and weight, were fitted to each other to a millimeter. Moreover, the stones were placed on top of each other without the use of any bonding material, but due to the fact that the blocks were perfectly aligned to each other, the masonry was able to hold out for thousands of years.
In addition to the walls of the fortified city and its mysterious masonry, in this place there is another, especially interesting structure. A huge block of granite is of particular value to scientists. The fact is that on a piece of lump that just sticks out of the ground, a ladder was cut, which turned it upside down.

The block itself is granite, and granite is one of the most durable materials on earth. That is why, in order to cut such a staircase in the rock, the ancient people had to use modern technologies, which in those days simply could not be available. By the look of the block, one can conclude that she herself was always in another place, and as if she should not be standing in this part of the city at all, but some unknown huge force simply tore it out of its place and brought it here. The place where the block is located is quite remote from the general city, so it cannot be assumed that it could have fallen from somewhere.

It is believed that the mysterious fortress city of Sacsayhuaman was built by the Incas, who lived in these lands in ancient times.
