The city of Cuzco in southeastern Peru was the capital of the Inca empire in the 11-16th centuries AD, but people began to settle in these places 3 thousand years ago.
In the ancient part of the Cusco region, you can see an impressive megalithic fortress complex called Sacsayhuaman.
The masonry of the walls of Sacsayhuaman has been the subject of lively discussions for several decades; this is the so-called cyclopean masonry, that is, using stone blocks of huge weight and size, very well fitted to each other, and without the use of a fastening solution.
However, in addition to the walls, there are unsolved mysteries in Sacsayhuaman, and one of them is a huge granite block in which steps are cut. Granite, by the way, is one of the hardest and therefore very difficult to process rocks. Even with modern technology.
At the same time, the lump looks as if it was once in another place, but then an incredibly huge force tore it from there, turned it over and brought it here. And this place was somewhere very far away, since there is nothing nearby from which, in theory, this block could fall.
It is believed that Sacsayhuaman was built by the Incas, but some researchers believe that this is the work of the mysterious Kilke culture, which existed here before the arrival of the Incas in the 13th century.
But also the sprat probably built it already on the place where the buildings were earlier. And the Incas themselves clearly wrote that earlier in these places a people lived, the head of which was a mighty god who descended from heaven.

Were these people giants and therefore built such gigantic structures? Or did they have technologies of stone processing unknown to others?
Much in Cusco and Sacsayhuaman, if desired, of course, can be explained by the work of ordinary people, as is done when explaining the construction of the Egyptian pyramids in history lessons at school, but how to explain this huge block with inverted steps?
Some researchers believe that in ancient times, several thousand years ago, there was some kind of global cataclysm and it was worse than even a powerful earthquake. It was he who destroyed many stone buildings and the inverted staircase is only a little that has remained since then.
Next to the block with inverted steps lie the remains of other blocks, also with traces of precise processing, and they also look like broken remains from something big.
Similar debris, similar to construction kit parts, and also broken and scattered in disarray on the ground, can be seen elsewhere in South America, namely in Puma Punku in Bolivia. And there, too, everything looks as if something powerful suddenly fell on them and at once broke and mixed everything.
