The professor of medicine Robert Lanza points out that the concept of death is associated with the peculiarities of consciousness, which associates death with the cessation of the functions of internal organs. “In fact, consciousness does not fade away, but continues to work, but in a different world,” the scientist insists.
Robert Lanza was known for his research on stem cells as well as his successful cloning experiments on endangered animal species. Several years ago Lanza changed the vector of his scientific interest, getting carried away by physics and quantum mechanics. The scientist formulated his theory of death under the influence of data from these areas, correlating them with the discoveries of astrophysics - it was called "biocentrism".

The ability of human consciousness to be anywhere, including outside the human body, is consistent with the foundations of quantum mechanics, according to which multiple scenarios are possible at once. Human consciousness, says Professor Lanza, is a kind of energy, therefore it does not disappear and cannot be destroyed, it can only endlessly change and transform.
“There are many universes. All possible scenarios for the development of events are realized in them. In one universe, the body dies, in another - it continues to live, absorbing the consciousness that has moved into this universe,”the scientist does not doubt.
