Close contact of people with unknown creatures is a rather delicate topic in the context of the UFO phenomenon. Each subsequent notification about such events causes a lot of emotions and it is rather difficult to verify it. Nothing has changed in the case of the events that took place in 1976 in the American city of Allagash. It is there that one of the most documented cases of alien abduction occurred.

The 1976 case caught the world's attention when it was featured on the American television program Unsolved Mysteries. The protagonists of these events, that is, the twins, Jack and Jim Weiner and their friends, Chuck Cancer and Charlie Foltz, went through an extremely traumatic adventure with aliens in the lead role.

The four colleagues were art students at the Massachusetts College of Art and once went on a quiet, calm fishing trip. The men had no luck during the day so they decided to go fishing at night. At some point, all four noticed a large bright light in the sky over the lake. It radiated much more radiance than any star. It turned out that an unidentified flying object was hanging just a few hundred meters from the sky.

The object began to move and change colors from red to green. Students estimated that the object was about 80 feet (24.3 meters) in diameter. Charlie turned on the flashlight and at that moment the UFO began to approach them. Subject silently walked towards the four friends. The students tried to run as close to the shore as they could, but the light from the object diminished and absorbed the people.

When they woke up, they returned to the shore. The students noticed that there were no traces of the fire they lit, which clearly indicated that at least a few hours must pass.

The still very shocked friends packed up and returned home. Over time, the events of that terrible night began to affect their lives. The first sufferer was Jack, who had nightmares with strange creatures with long necks and large heads. He had visions of strangers experimenting on him and the other three friends sitting around. The other three men developed similar nightmares over time.

Eventually, in 1988, Jim decided to attend a UFO conference led by Raymond Fowler. Jim told the author about his unusual adventure in Allagash. Fowler suggested that the man try the so-called regressive hypnosis, that is, the process of restoring lost memories. As it turned out, years later they remembered what happened after they were kidnapped. Everyone remembered a slightly different fragment of events, but in combination they got the full picture. All four were able to draw a laboratory in which there were images of strangers. The friends were also tested using a lie detector, which confirmed that avid anglers were telling the truth.
