After observing the painstaking work of ufologists, one might get the impression that scientists are not interested in studying contacts with aliens and UFOs. However, this is not at all the case. Scientists conducting their own research in this area will present their findings at the International UFO Congress, which begins February 15, 2017 in Arizona at the Fountain Hills Observatory.

Among the speakers are three scientists, a former nuclear physicist and neuropathologist from the United States, as well as a professor from Oestfold University in Norway, who came to the conclusion that there are many more mysteries in mysterious phenomena than the entire scientific community realizes.

Stanton Friedman began his career in nuclear physics and later became one of the most famous proponents of UFOs. He was the first to seriously investigate the Roswell UFO crash. Friedman is preparing a report on how astronomers view the UFO phenomenon, arguing that many of them are skeptics and do not conduct proper research.

Neurologist Bob Davis, a retired professor at State University of New York where he taught for over 30 years, deals with the much more controversial topic of abduction. Bob has received international acclaim in this area. Intrigued by the large number of reports from people who confidently claimed to have been abducted by aliens, he was forced to begin scientific research.

Bob Davis believes that "something mysterious and important is really going on". According to him, there are 2300 people who consciously remember about contact with intelligent extraterrestrial beings.

Friedman and Davis conduct their research without official support. However, Erling Strand from Norway is in a unique position. Strand is the project manager for the Hessdalen project, which is part of the Oestfold University program.

The strange lights that have been appearing in the Norwegian valley for many decades have been caught on cameras by scientists from different countries. However, no explanation has been found for these phenomena. Although some argue that the lights are of natural origin, Strand does not rule out the possibility of an alien intelligence in the Hessdalen Valley.

The International UFO Congress is held annually. It will be the biggest UFO event this year, and scientists hope it will make it into the Guinness Book of Records as the largest UFO conference in the world.
