In the early morning of September 3, 2016, a huge fireball flew over Portland in Oregon, USA (see video below).
The American Meteorological Society has received reports of this case from over 130 people, but the object has not been identified, despite the fact that it was filmed by several eyewitnesses.
The object has been observed in northern British Columbia, Canada and even southern Oregon. Most of the reports came from the Willamette Valley.
“It's hard to say what it was,” said Jim Todd, director of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. - A very bright ball of bluish color at high speed in seven to eight seconds swept through the sky and broke up into small parts. He moved from west to east."
The video shows that the object's glow remains constant. But it moves relatively slowly for a meteorite. The streak of light was visible for 13 seconds and then disappeared into the night sky. It is unclear if any sounds were heard.
Some eyewitnesses left messages on social networks.
“A very unusual streak of light appeared in the sky over Portland about 10 minutes ago. Is it a meteorite? One man asked.
"A meteorite or UFO just fell from the sky in Portland, and I'm dead sober," another said.

There have been no official reports of this object, but Todd speculated that the object probably fell in the Rocky Mountains.
