The owner and ranchers in Paraguay are convinced that the infamous Chupacabra is responsible for a series of bloodthirsty attacks on livestock.

A strange event occurred earlier this month in the city of Los Sedrales, when farmer Francisco Molinas left his house on a dark night, disturbed by the incessant barking of his dog.

Armed with a rifle and a flashlight, he walked around the courtyard and, reaching the sheepfold, found next to it one of the animals with a terrible wound on the neck. Trying to understand what kind of predator could do this, the man held a flashlight around and was amazed by what he saw. According to Molinas, he saw six mutilated goats and an incomprehensible brown creature looking at him with ominous red eyes.

Having mastered his fear, the farmer fired several shots. However, the monster did not seem to react at all to the threat and even tried to pounce on Molinas. Fortunately, his son with a shotgun arrived in time and continued to shoot at the retreating beast. Together with the two joining workers, they began the pursuit.

“We looked for him everywhere to catch him and show him to people,” Molinas told local media. “I didn't believe in this nonsense before, but now I know that the Chupacabra exists.”

While Molinas is convinced that the notorious Chupacabra is behind the attacks on other ranches that have killed more than 30 sheep, not everyone believes it. Some suspect the mysterious animal could be a jaguar or some other large cat.

However, hunters who are trying to track down the creature say they have found footprints that do not look feline, which confirms the likelihood that the Chupacabra may indeed wander Paraguay.
