Crumlin Road Prison (Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a Victorian-era prison that operated until it closed in 1996. After closing, it is considered a public attraction and is open to the public.
The infamous institution has a long and dark history - it has been visited by over 25,000 prisoners: men, women and children. It is documented that in 1858 Patrick Maggi, a 13-year-old boy, was sentenced to three months in prison for stealing clothes from a laundress. But a few hours after his imprisonment, he was found hanged in a cell. And many, many more human lives ended in this institution.

Not surprisingly, there are many ghosts living there. Crumlin Road Prison is considered the most paranormal place in Belfast. The most active are: the tunnel, the landslide circle, the executioner's cage and the C-wing.
Sarah Murphy, 33, from Cork, took her daughter and parents on a tour of the former prison. She later contacted Belfastlive and told her story live: “All tours are going down the wing, so I just stood at the gate to B wing and snapped a few photos just in case. The wing was in the dark, there was no one there."

But when they returned to where they were staying in Belfast, Sarah looked through the photos, enlarging them. It was then that she discovered in one of the photos “a man in uniform”: “For me it looks like a man in uniform looking down the corridor. You can even see the chin strap on his hat."
Earlier in 2016, Karlie Foster saw the ghost of a little girl. This greatly influenced her, since prior to this incident, a student at the University of Queens was rather skeptical. "It was a wing where I felt weird and insecure and it was cold."
