A bloody stain appeared on a road in Staffordshire, UK
Businessman Darron Fleming noticed that a portion of the A523 Ashbourne road was bleeding at the entrance to Leek town and the highway turned red, according to Leek Post and Times, UK.
Mr. Fleming said, “So what's going on in this busy corner of the highway on the Leek stretch, are they some planetary stigmata? I drive here every day and first noticed this strange phenomenon more than four weeks ago."
“Initially, I thought that someone spilled a can of paint on the road,” continues Fleming, “but then I noticed that this liquid was seeping through the surface, as if the road was“bleeding”. This is so strange."
The Leek Post contacted the local road department and asked them what they thought about the case. Department adviser Simon Tagg, looking at the photo, expressed the opinion that it might be some kind of water leak, highly saturated with iron and therefore having a red color.
“Our traffic officers will monitor the situation and see if further investigation is required,” Tagg replied.
