Strange plane crashes are taking place in the Volgograd region. Researchers believe that anomalous zone was raging there

On the morning of July 22, a Mi-8AMT-1 RA-22968 helicopter crashed while flying over the oil pipeline 20 kilometers south-west of the village of Moiseevo, Kotovsky District, Volgograd Region. According to the stories of local residents, the fall of the "turntable" was preceded by a clap, and only then the eyewitnesses heard the sound of the fall. Some claimed to have seen a flash on the tail of the helicopter.

At 10:17 am, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information that the helicopter had disappeared from the radar, later reported that as a result of the fall, it caught fire, and by the time the rescuers arrived, it was almost completely burned down. For some time, the exact number of the dead was not named, no one knew how many people were in the helicopter flying GZP9542 on the Volgograd - Kotovo route. Later it turned out: there were 3 crew members and 5 passengers on board.

Of the eight people, only two survived. The investigation of the disaster was taken up by a commission of the Interstate Aviation Committee, which included official representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency. Experts managed to establish that in the 48th minute of flight at an altitude of 110 meters at a speed of 200 km / h, the helicopter had some control problems. Coming into an emergency landing, the board entered an uncontrollable left rotation, collided with the ground, capsized on the starboard side and caught fire. Since the investigation has not yet been completed, it is too early to talk about the causes of the accident, but the place where the catastrophe occurred is suggestive, since it has long been raising questions from specialists in the field of various anomalous phenomena.

And it is impossible not to pay attention to this. The trouble happened in the south of the so-called Medveditskaya ridge - one of the most powerful anomalous zones in Russia.

Not a good place

The area where the disaster happened has long been famous for "bad stories" associated primarily with the frequent appearance of ball lightning on the slopes. Nearby there is even an unofficial, but known almost all over the world "Reserve of ball lightning", where you can personally see the traces of the riot of these flying red-hot balls - burnt holes in the soil and trees. Usually these balls do not rise high (or, more correctly, at a height they are almost impossible to see against the background of the daytime sky), but in the pictures and videos, there are glowing balls hovering tens of meters above the ground. Fortunately, flights in this area are rare, there are no intense air routes, and those helicopters that find themselves here have not yet met with fireballs in the sky. At least the pilots didn't see them. Or did not have time to see. Who knowsWas not flight GZP9542 “lucky” in this sense?

However, the strangeness of the place is not limited to ball lightning. Alexey K., one of the private helicopter pilots, told Itogi that "real devilry" is going on in the sky here. Somehow, during the flight, he seemed to feel as if someone was flying next to him. Turning his head to the right, he saw behind the glass a kind of cloud, shaped like a human figure. “At first I thought there were some glitches, but then the same image appeared again, but already below the echelon on which I was going,” the pilot recalls. "And my colleagues here met glowing flying triangles, balls and bizarre blurred images in the air."

According to other helicopter pilots, engine malfunctions are often observed over the Medveditskaya ridge, but, fortunately, serious problems have so far been avoided, since as soon as the car slipped through an unpleasant area at speed, the engines returned to normal. For a second or two of such an abnormal operation, the helicopter did not have time to sink much in height, so the passengers usually did not notice anything.

Local helicopter pilots made certain conclusions for themselves and either try to cross an unpleasant place across, and not along (in order to minimize the time of a dangerous impact and quickly slip through the boundaries of the anomaly), or generally fly around the unpleasant section of the tenth road. The crew of the helicopter that crashed in July might simply not have known about such features and ended up in the very epicenter of the anomalous zone.

Invisible funnel

Scientists have long outlined the boundaries of the anomalous zone, having noticed at the same time some periodicity of strengthening or weakening of its activity. Not long before the Mi-8 disaster, an increase in the activity of the anomalous zone was just observed - for a month, powerful lightning raged here, as if by someone's evil order. Three weeks before the fall of the Mi-8, an unmanned reconnaissance helicopter crashed on the Medveditskaya ridge (coincidence?). On that day, the researchers of the anomalous zone intended to shoot it from a bird's eye view. A mini-helicopter with a video camera, which had previously proven itself well in reconnaissance circles in the fields, was supposed to fly over immediately after sunset, at the moment when almost complete calm was established. The device took off perfectly evenly, the flight continued for some time without complaints, but after fifty meters it suddenly began to be pulled to the ground.

It was not possible to parry the fall with the rudders, despite the fact that the control levers were in the extreme position for several seconds, preventing a stall. It seemed that the machine, having lost control, seemed to be sucked into an invisible funnel. The device crashed from the impact, its frame was bent, three of the four screws broke; the video camera, however, has survived, but there was not a single clear frame on the recording.

The researchers had to console themselves with the fact that after the repair and "debriefing" the car would "get back into operation" again. But here's an interesting moment: as the commission to investigate the Mi-8 disaster has already found out, the crew in the last seconds of the flight "was pulled sideways." The crew did not manage to weaken this influence by the rudders.

What could have influenced the technique in such a strange way? Scientists have been studying the nature of this effect for many years. Research is progressing with varying degrees of success. As a result, by now, researchers are inclined to explain everything that is happening on the Medveditskaya Ridge with a version that looks more like a fantastic one. It has been established that in this steppe area there are strange voids underground, stretching for many kilometers.

With the help of special equipment, the scientists carried out geophysical measurements and found out an amazing pattern: often observed ball lightning here strike exactly where the underground holes are. And they also fly out from there. It seems as if there is a source with gigantic energetic potential hidden under the ground. Its products - fireballs, as well as incomprehensible visions seen by pilots - are carefully called geophysical meteors by anomalous researchers. The physical mechanism of their action is still a secret behind seven seals.

At present, we can only say that geophysical meteors to some extent resemble high-energy ball lightning and are most often observed in a certain geophysical setting. The phenomenon associated with the release of powerful energy is almost completely unexplored and represents one of the most intriguing mysteries for modern science.

Vadim Chernobrov

Yaroslav Sochka, Ukrainian ufologist, founder of the UFODOS club:

- What today is still cautiously called geophysical meteors could really have caused the accident. But similar incidents with glowing balls and other obscure flying objects do not necessarily happen only in anomalous zones. Here are some inherently surprising cases that took place in Ukraine. On December 20, 1989, from the square near the Central Stadium in Kiev, the plane was clearly visible as it landed at the Zhuliany airport. At this time, an object appeared in the sky.

And when the plane approached him, a flash suddenly flashed. Numerous witnesses saw how the plane seemed to be pushed. Fortunately, the liner landed without damage. On October 13, 1992, while approaching Kiev at an altitude of about 6,000 meters, the nose cone of the An-124 Ruslan plane was suddenly destroyed. The debris hit the third engine, which was, according to the official conclusion, the cause of the plane crash. However, during an independent investigation of the circumstances of the tragedy, it was possible to unequivocally establish the presence in the air of an unidentified luminous object that was near the An-124 at the time of the accident. On July 27, 2002, during an air show at the Sknilov airfield in Lvov, a Su-27 fighter crashes straight into the crowd. The pilots at low altitude tried to carry out aerobatics, but in one second the plane "changed its mind."

When you slowly view the video footage of the tragedy, you can clearly see how a few seconds before the fall of the Su-27, a small unidentified object flies under its hull at high speed. It is useful for science to study all this.

Sergey Yazev, Director of the Astronomical Observatory of Irkutsk State University:

- I do not think that the cause of the helicopter accident lies in the abnormality of the area. To understand this issue, you need to know what methods were used to obtain data on voids underground in the area of the Medveditskaya ridge. Most likely, the talks about a large cluster of ball lightning in these places are legends and tales of the local population. Honestly, when anomalous investigators investigate an unusual area, there is no science. And if an unmanned aerial vehicle fell from the anomalous, this is not a reason to declare the place disastrous. When the geophysical studies are carried out and the measurement results are presented, then there will be something to talk about. In the meantime, this is another sensation from researchers, who live in order to turn the unknown into anomalous.
