Researchers have long noticed that the maximum influence of spiritually intangible phenomena is manifested in the living world. And the presence of non-material physical fields in the living world has long been objectively fixed. For example, using the Kirlian method (the method of "high-frequency photography"), the so-called "biofield" is visualized, which is present in living objects and which disappears when they die. Such a "biofield" (or "aura") is nothing more than a visual confirmation of the reality of the above "vital energy".
But if there is some energy, then there must be ways of extracting and using this energy. And if at the death of a person or other creature there is a release of some amount of such energy (which is now confirmed even by fixing a small weight loss at death), then it can also be used. All you need is the appropriate level of knowledge and technology. And with a certain degree of development of these technologies, it is possible, among other things, to create various mechanisms and equipment functioning at the expense of such energy (for example, after its transformation into the usual material form of energy - approximately at nuclear power plants, the energy of the atom is converted into electricity).
Moreover, in the course of his life, a person continuously forms various mental images - non-material objects that can also be a source of energy. In addition, a person experiences various emotions in which energy can be released outside (in the form of, say, the same mental images). The reality of such emissions can be felt even at the physical level by any person who gets into the stadium during a music concert or sports competition. Collective prayers are usually accompanied by strong emotions, which are also often felt by their participants. Such emotional emissions are also a source of energy that can be used with a certain level of technology.
Another thing is that modern mankind does not yet have such technologies. But there is every reason to believe that the ancient "gods" (aliens from another star system) had both the necessary level of knowledge and technologies to use intangible energy, which is confirmed by numerous facts of ancient history …
