The scientist came to these conclusions by analyzing and comparing modern indicators with the data of 2013. According to the results, waste emissions are provoking global warming, which is causing glaciers to melt, but this has been known before. The problem is that according to the calculations of 2013, by the end of the century, the level of the world ocean could rise by a maximum of 90 cm, but in fact this is not the case, since the glaciers are melting faster, which is already noticeable. The scientist predicts that by 2100 the world's oceans will increase by 1.5 meters, which will cause many coastal cities to be submerged.
It is necessary to focus on the fact that some countries have already addressed the problem of a rapid rise in the level of the world ocean, including China, whose scientists have established that water takes 1.5 cm of land per year.
