Sasha Putrya went down in history as a talented artist, author of children's poems and cartoons. She devoted her whole life to creativity, despite the fact that she spent six years fighting a terrible disease - leukemia. Sasha passed away when she was only 11, but at the same time she managed to do so much that others could not do for many years. Looking at these works, it is difficult to believe that their author is a child …

Sasha Putrya lived for only 11 years, but created many drawings.
Sasha Putrya is often called an indigo child, because children at her age spend time in the sandbox, play with dolls and, at best, draw something awkward with felt-tip pens or paints. And this girl from the very childhood diligently spent hours on end drawing, and at the same time creating meaningful images, each of which had a complete story.

The creative process.
Wonder Girl was born in 1977 in Poltava. Her parents are creative people: her mother is a teacher at a music school, her father is an artist. Sasha was an unusual child, she began to draw early, using felt-tip pens and pencils to paint everything that she could reach. At first, it was completely children's creativity, for each drawing she came up with a story, recreated from memory what she saw at home, in kindergarten, at work with her mother.

At the age of five, Sasha's parents learned the terrible news: their child is terminally ill. The doctors did not give a chance, they said that the baby would live at most a month. But the parents did not despair: they went to the doctors, Sasha was undergoing treatment, and they also visited the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra together, where the girl received a blessing.

How this little girl managed to live 6 years with such a diagnosis is an open question. According to her parents, she drew strength from creativity. She painted for many hours a day, regardless of whether she was at home or in the hospital. Most often these were self-portraits, drawings with a cousin, with whom the girl was "in love", as well as sketches about space.

Sasha listened with interest to stories about distant planets, believed that UFOs really fly to our earth, and in these flying saucers are the ancestors of earthlings. The girl even prepared blueprints that, in her opinion, could help people go to the moon. What this little girl knew, today one can only guess. Her father Eugene says that a year before her birth, he had a prophetic dream in which he and his wife were lying in a field, and an asterisk fell from the sky. This star turned into a chick, which the couple took to themselves.

Sasha's other passion, besides space, was the history of India. Love for this country began with Indian films, after watching the film "Disco Dancer" the girl began to paint portraits of the actor Mithun Chakroborty. The young artist simply adored him, and after the death of the baby, the parents decided that they would bury her along with the painted portrait of the idol. Sometimes Sasha said strange, as it seemed to her parents, things: she asked where the elephant she liked to ride in as a child, or wondered where all her hands were, why there were only two left.

Sasha was demanding of herself, she could spend hours redrawing the same picture, treasured the opinion of her parents, and always asked to evaluate her work. In addition to drawings, she willingly made crafts, homemade books, for which she wrote poems.

Growing up, Sasha even painted an icon for the church, depicting the Virgin Mary on it. Shortly before her death, the girl created a drawing that touches to the depths of her soul: she circled her palm and the palm of her father, and depicted several stars in the distance. The drawing is named "Sirius".

Evgeny Putrya, Sasha's father, still remembers his brilliant daughter every day. He organizes exhibitions of her works, carefully preserves everything that was created by her, and every Saturday he goes to his daughter's grave to talk to her. Eugene says that he often sees dreams in which he “meets” his daughter, she gives him valuable advice on how to treat diseases, communicates with him, and calms him down.

The earthly path of Sasha Putrya turned out to be fleeting, the riddle of her character is beyond our power to solve, it remains only to keep her bright name in memory.
