Andres is very popular among his fellow villagers, and according to his neighbors, he has “holy hands”. For the doctors who followed his work, he is an "inexplicable phenomenon."
Andres Ballesteros calls himself a psychosurgeon and assures that he is capable of performing paradoxical surgical operations.
He removes tumors with his hands, even cerebral ones, interferes with the work of the opened heart and other organs. He conducts these operations on a full moon in a small Andalusian village.
He does not take payment and only occasionally donations.
Andrés hosted a group of Madrid journalists in the very place where he practices his practice. This is a room, almost a cell, equipped with everything necessary for the patients he treats. There are several chairs in the waiting room; here in silence people wait their turn.

This time it was about a common abdominal hernia. Andres opened the peritoneum, making a visible and deep incision with his bare hands. After removing the hernia, he closed the wound, leaving a scar more like a scratch. He washed off the blood and the patient stood up immediately without any discomfort.
Subsequently, he operated on a discal hernia (vertebral displacement). A professional doctor was urgently called in to monitor the progress of the surgery. Dr. Agvas Sanchez described what he saw as follows:

Andres does not seek to increase the number of patients and only works three or four times a month - both full moon and new moon. When asked about the price of such work, he replied:

Thanks to Andres, many patients were cured. Many of them have retained documents, mainly medical examinations, data before and after the operation.

Ana Luca Luna from Casarabonela (Malaga) was 43 years old when she came to Andres for an operation to remove stones and gallbladder. Andres did everything in front of her husband and other witnesses.
