The writer Peter Kalder described in his book "Ancient Secrets of Youth" the story of the Chinese Li Qingyun, who died in 1933 at the age of 256. The Chinese long-liver was married 24 times and became the father of 180 children. Qingyun was fond of studying medicinal herbs and practicing breathing exercises, and at 256 years old he looked like a 60-year-old.

A unique example of longevity was described in the pages of his book “Ancient Secrets of Youth” by Peter Kelder. The writer told about a certain Chinese, Li Qingyong, who lived to be 256 years old and died in 1933. From the data of the official register, it follows that the Chinese long-liver was born in 1677 in the Sichuan province. Qingyun devoted his entire life to studying the medicinal properties of plants. The archives of the American edition of the New York Times preserved an interview made in 1928, where the Chinese himself discovered the secret of his longevity. In his opinion, you need to be a vegetarian, maintain inner balance and peace, keep your heart in silence, stay awake like a dove, and sleep like a dog.

The diet of the Chinese herbalist mainly consisted of rice, herbal infusions and tea. Li Qingyun gave his preference to a decoction of wolf berries, which, according to him, restore the work of the internal organs, thin the blood and stimulate the brain. Now it is impossible to say for sure whether the herbalist actually existed, however, all Chinese masters of ancient practices claim that Li Qingyun is still their spiritual example.
