Elyuyu Cherkechekh is an anomalous zone, the exact coordinates of which have not yet been determined. It is only known that it is located in the Mirninsky ulus of Yakutia in the region of the Vilyui River, and its occurrence is somehow connected with the fall of the Tunguska meteorite in 1908, which fell about 700 km from the theoretical location of Yelyuy Cherkechekh.
The name itself, translated from Yakut, means “valley of death”. They say that the local hunters dubbed it that way. Old-timers say that they were the ones who brought rumors about strange metal objects. The hunters used the rounded canopies sticking out of the ground as a sleeping place, as they protected people from the wind, and some even radiated heat. But any person who spent the night under such a canopy subsequently died very quickly from an unknown disease.
Nowadays, the artificial origin of strange metal objects is not in doubt, and there is an assumption that the bulk of these plate-shaped structures are underground. Therefore, they were conventionally called “Vilyui boilers”. It is likely that the disease that killed the hunters was a strong radiation exposure.
The rumor about the "valley of death" forced the locals to bypass the disastrous "cauldrons", but people who saw them for the last time in 1989 noted that the metal objects went deep into the ground, leaving only their tops on the surface.
Since then, no new information has been received about the "Yeluy Cherkechekh" and it can be safely assumed that the mysterious "Vilyui boilers" eventually completely disappeared underground. According to official statements, private ufological expeditions with deep equipment have not yet brought any success, and according to rumors, there are results, but they are kept in the strictest confidence.
