For more than 15 years, the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Kazachinskoe has been hosting a myrrh-streaming icon of the Kazan Mother of God, to which pilgrims come en masse with requests for children and healing from diseases. Local clerics told about it.
The icon “burst into tears” for the first time on March 18, 2001, on the eve of the terrible fires, which burned out half of the village. Then the first eyewitness of the tears of the Virgin was a parishioner who prayed for the healing of her father.
“We came from the Diocese, held a prayer service near the Mother of God. People began to walk, touch the tears with their hands, then flowed - there were short traces. Now we go to the fair every year, and when we come to Krasnoyarsk, people all come up and say: "The tears are lengthening." We have been carrying it for 12 years, and every year it is getting longer and longer,”says the worker of the church, Nadezhda Chernykh.
The source of moisture has not yet been identified. The icon was carefully examined, but there are no cracks on it. A scientific explanation for myrrh streaming has not yet been found.
The icon of the Kazan Mother of God is over 100 years old. It was lost in Soviet times and then was returned to the temple, rebuilt on the site of the destroyed church, where the icon originally stood.
